I have similiar problem as you, can anyone help? My torrent health is 17000% something and 30/380 seed/peer whereas all is 31/1603. I wonder why the DL can't exceed 10kb/s (For this reason I have limited my UL to 5kb/s for this tasK) and why I can't get connected to more peers than 380 while there are 1603 available.
I see that someone are DL at 380kb/s currentlywhy not me?

Cause thats really low, i recommed if ure going to cap your upload cap it a 50kb/s. Besides that the fact ppl get 300kb/s+ is that they have high speed internet or higher or that they have a private tracker.

I guess i did everything right as my 'Initiation' column has both Remote and local in it, i dun have any 4226 warning error, i limit my upload rate but my download speed is still slow.
I know that my ISP is throttling p2p issue so is there any way to help me?
I usually have no problem with torrents starting up, but this morning i've tried ~10 different ones. I understand that you need ones with several seeds, so I tried very popular torrents (with several hundred seeds) and those didn't start either. everything across the board is zero.
You probably missed this, since it was boldfaced and a whole two posts above your own. So let me repeat it for you.

Since a boldface type didn't get your attention, maybe this will?
I've tried following advice and tips from other sites and this site for improving my download/upload speeds using BitComet. I've had no change in the speed whatsoever.
I recently got a new HP computer and it isn't different from my physically connected computer with the same problem.
My new HP computer's OS is Windows Vista Home Premium and it is connected wirelessly to my Linksys router (model number: WRT54GL and is upgraded to firmware version: v4.30.5)
My wireless card is a Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter.
My ram/virtual memory is 1024 MB and my hard drive has 250 GB.
I have a Norton Anti-Virus program, which is fully updated.
Here's the effect of the problem:
My download rate is 0-12 kB/s and
my upload rate is 3-15 kB/s. Usually, it's 2-3 kB/s download and 8-10 kB/s upload. I don't think that this is normal. Far from normal. I've read posts that users usually get 100-200 kB/s! I never had that!
So I'm really, really stumped and I've been forced to post here for help.
Any help that works will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Digitus

Please state the type of internet you have, if it is anything DSL or high speed with rogers, then that is most likely the speed you'll get.
Since you have a wireless router, ask yourself if you have port fowareded your router. If not that is the problem most likely. There are stickies on how to port forward. And also wireless most likely also yield a lower download rate since the connection isn't a solid line.

i seriously need help ppl and this appears to be the only thread ppl actually reply to so will post here...
it appears as tho Bitcomet is timing out my internet connection, after my torrent has started correctly it will download and upload for a short while and then both speeds will crash to zero, this will stay for a very short while and then start back up again, this will happen constantly during the download...
can some PLEASE tell me what is going on here? what can i do to resolve this problem??
i receive both local AND remote connections so its not a port forward problem, i was noticing some major UDP floods so i have disabled DHT network and that didnt help... i opened up my max TCP from 10 to 20 but still the same prob...
im on a DSL connection... please help![]()
