sorry to ask this but i can't seems to find an answer for my question in this forum...
i'm downloading a video sized 3.54GB & the Seed/Peer (all) is 5/39 (5/269) & the health is 17xx% <---something like tat but i'm juz getting few kb/s (around 3 ~ 5kb/s max) Xspecially at the morning / noon but the speed is juz keep getting better at nite tat i able to get around more than 10kb/s (sometimes 20 ~ 30kb/s)
any help will be much appriciated...

Its the same with me, that answer is that, more people usually run thier bitcomet in the night. So you get a better ratio of connections. Then it goes up a bit. Then when it is morning or afternoon people are asleep or at work/school. In the night they come home and start up Bitcomet and you get a better ratio from more people.
ANd what does 17xx% mean> xx what is that.

many thx for the answer
urm...the 17xx% is the health...so it means the torrent is very "healthy" i think...
currently the video progress is at 47.3% & it seems i'm juz getting few kb/s MAX, usually 1 ~ 5kb/s (not more than 10) eventough at nitetime...(i've leave my pc / bc on for 1 whole day) b4 the progress reached 40%, the speed was quite (but not VERY) fast tat i able to get around 20kb/s & now it seems slowing down a lot...maybe it's juz 2day...so i'll try to leave BitComet on for next couple of days to see any changes since i'm downloading few other torrent too...it has 4 SEED & 38 PEERS (all = 4 SEEDS & 4xx PEERS)
btw, both of my global down & upload speed is "No Limit" atm

Ive already read most of the facts from here about port forwarding, and it was sorta helpful it cleared some things, but my speed has still not changed, so I was wondering wether or not you know how to port forward a D-Link DSL 502T.

Ive messed around with trying to port forward it twice, and I reboot after each, but theres no difference in speed & all the initiations were local with some NAT traversal.
The file Im currently getting is 5.03gigs, Health:10000%, 161SEEDS/261PEERS, the speed Im downloading at is fluxuating around 15kB/s-23kB/s and my upload is remaining steady at 20kB/s.
Thank you.

DSL...ok that is not an unusual speed for that DSL BASIC/LITE right?
Bell Sympatico DSL BASIC/LITE usually get you those speeds. The best you might get is up to 50kB/s and that is it. My suggestion is to upgrade your internet service to Sympatico High Speed.
Your Bitcomet Speed download Max is usually 1/10 of the advertised speed. No its not that becasue they cheated you but Bitcomet downloads is a different process and it wont be the same.

ive been using bitcomet for the longest time and it downloads pretty fast until yesterday. the same thing happened to me. the site where i got the torrent says it has 1000+ seeds and 9000+ peers but when i start to download, though the seeds and peers that i get are relatively high (even the health) my download speed is stuck at 5kbps. i thought my internet connection is the problem, but apparently after reading all the posts, it is not.
so does this mean that this thing is normal? i mean is there any way to boost my download speed? (i mean downloading a 350mb file with a "Time Left" of 10 hours to download is pretty long right?) and i checked the peers section of my torrent file, it is quite annoying that i don't get anything from those who have already completed the file. (100%) furthermore, i only get 2kbps max on a couple of other IPs.
oh yeah and another thing: the general settings on the connections tab in preferences, does this affect my download speed at all? what should i put at the global max download and upload rate anyway considering my internet connection is DSL (384kbps)?
thanks so much in advance!

Question 1:
Though I am asuming many things the biggest possiblily it that there are too many leechers for the peers to share. You are in line and waiting for some people to finish up the file so you can start getting something from the seeds. 1000-9000 is quite a big number so it might take a while. If you have dwled with such big numbers b4 then idk what to do but wait. Check your trackers if they have failed they kill your speed badly. If so tracker sticky.
Question 2.
Just leave it as it is...

healthy seeds, but zero download:
Ok. I've read through all the posts, but still can find no answers to my problem. Downloads just crashed to 0kb about a week ago. I've checked the ports are forwarded and open (60000), my seeds/peers ratio is good, my trackers are super connected, but download starts at 1kb, slowly reducing to the great old 0kb.

look at those torrent figures !!

and look at those download speeds !!
I just cannot figure this one out. Any help GREATLY appreciated.
I'm on a 2Mb ADSL line.
250 down, 16 up.
Bitcomet set to 250 down, and 6 up, and suddenly I can't even browse anymore.
Max conx per task: 200
Conx to keep per task: 150
Half open tcp conx: 80
I have tried everything.

I do wish people wouldn't say that. Do you have peers showing REMOTE initiations? That's what matters, what all this port-forwarding businees is aiming at anyway. And it's the first, most important thing to check. Do you have remote initiations?
What changed a week ago? Did you install something, uninstall something, reconfigure something, reinstall, upgrade, change ISP's?

The problem is the DHT Network tracker.
Its only returnsto one Peer, and one peer is bad.
Try stoping the torrent then starting it again until you get more than one peer.
Thats the way I solve it, it might help or not depended on luck.
