Hello, New Owner
Hi Guys,
Some of you will know me and some will not. I was staff at UTC back in the day and then a mod @ P2PC for a while before I dropped off the P2P scene all together.
I came back a few years later and it has died an almighty death. So I set out to check out what I could do with some of my old haunts.
I bought UTC at the end of November this year with plans to rebuild it. It's going well so far.
I had my eye on this place as it's dropped off the mark also. I was watching p2pforums.com since I took over UTC and then all of a sudden it went offline a few days ago..
Anyway, I got in touch with Scythe and he said he has a lot of other projects going on right now and had to down the site as it was hogging the server.
So, if you haven't guessed it already, I bought the site and we had it transferred to my server in a few hours, which rocked. Big Thanks to Scythe for being superfast with this.
So who all is active around here? There are going to be some changes made soon.
~PB

Re: Hello, New Owner
Hey there, I was a semi-regular user (wasn't big into the P2P scene as it were, I just needed occasional help). I reckon I can say that this site is pretty much a ghost town, and it has been since like the beginning of '08 - massive increase in spammers (which has since mostly been taken care of), coupled with a number of members disappearing off the face of the earth has resulted in little activity on this site.
Maybe the community can be revitalised with some new management and remodeling - not saying that the old leadership was bad or anything

Re: Hello, New Owner
Hi kenan,
I know what you mean. I've seen many great sites go down... Such a shame!
Maybe we can see who's still interested in this topic?

Re: Hello, New Owner
Hi dude ,
I never meet you back in time at utc , the original utc , before it messed up with the bordello made by russel .
Anyway ,
of what changes you are thinking to make on this site ?

Re: Hello, New Owner

What would you like to see?

Re: Hello, New Owner
I smelt something in the air just since few weeks :
http://www.p2pconsortium.com/index.php? ... &start=220
Where are everyone ?
It's time to re unite the cows really...
I would like to see the old good times a great p2p community under only one stand .
Unite your sites in one .

Re: Hello, New Owner
There is always the option to merge the sites.
However I first want to see how alive this forum can become. It gets a lot of traffic...

Re: Hello, New Owner
Then let's see with a merge with unitethecows how the traffic will be .
Also a fusion with p2pconsortium would help to run on a big wave then compete with slyck and zeropaid .

Re: Hello, New Owner
That would definitely be one massive database.

I'm still active. But not as a poster. I'll try to post more often and see if other people also start doing so.
