    Dreaded Gray light!

I'm using Bitcomet 1.10, and Windows XP. My system is set up like this: Main internet connection is thru Toshiba cable modem pcx2200, Modem is connected to Vonage VOIP device, Vonage device is connected to Lynksis WRT54G wireless router, router connected to Desktop Pc. I have followed port forwarding steps completely. Have a static Ip address set. Use windows firewall and have opened port thru firewall. When I check with canyouseeme.org, I am not visible and the ip address they show for me is not my static address. Is it my ISP that is causing this? If not please let me know what I should do.

No it isn't. It should be the one that your ISP assings you, at that time (usually a "dynamic" IP- one that changes, without you knowing about it).

When I check with canyouseeme.org, I am not visible
Then this means that "something" is blocking your listen port.

Ok, I've read the post and see that it is blocked. I'll go through other posts to see if there is something else I can do, but it appears that once it's blocked, there is not much I can do. Thanks for the reply.

    Re: Dreaded Gray light!

If you don't have any other systems connected directly to the Vonage router, then there's nothing that needs the protection of its firewall and you can simply turn that firewall off. You're relying on the firewall in the Linksys to protect your computer. Doing this will considerably simplify matters. Having two firewalls doesn't make you more secure, it just gives you management problems and duplication of effort.

Once you've turned the Vonage firewall off, there's no longer anything on the Vonage to forward a port through -- so it acts, to the Linksys, as though it were just a modem.
