Well, I'm going to write my usual movie review, but I couldn't help but start this thread here first.
I figure the movie is laced with so much political commentary, that I might as well comment about it here, and see what everyone thinks.

The Moo is back!
I watched it lastnight and really enjoyed it. Did you see my hero Alex Jones, he got about 30 seconds to speak before the men in black tazed him and threw him in that black van.
Alex Jones was on C Span lastnight too. Scholars for 9/11 truth had an hour and forty minutes. THey talked about everything I posted here under the September 11th and then some. The makers of Loose Change were there and so was Steven Jones phd from BYU who found Thermite and Thermate in steel samples from the towers. Proving conclusively that someone brought those buildings down in a controlled fashion.
It made me think, if freedom loses with Net Neutrality I would never heard Alex Jones again. He would have to go back to bull horning and I could see him being tazed for that.
But the layers in that film, the secrecy and spying rampant. The people who fight the war on drugs are the ones bringing it in. That is usually how it happens, who else has the means and the know how to beat thier own intell. Plus the more of it on the streets the more powerful they are.
It's all the same pot! Like with elections, the freedom of choice is just an illusion, because you think you can choose between two parties, but in reality these are just two sides of the same coin and only one entity that controls it.
And you are right, that is their known and most used technique. They create a problem and blow it out proportions and than elegantly offer a solution for it, which often seems like the only possible and logical solution. I mean, who would have said right after 9/11 that going after terrorists would be crazy idea?! They would easily label you as a traitor or a mad man or worse.
it's like how when the US invaded Afghanistan the poppy production went up some seventy percent. Now the UN says that Afghanistan produces around 90 percent of the worlds poppy.
US troops actually guard the fields & are probably getting hooked on it. Sort of like the Iran contra scandal and how Ollie North now has his own tv show.
Was this the movie with Keanu Reeves in it? I might be mixing it up with something else. But if so I saw reviews and previews and nothing about it sounded interesting to me. I never saw it.
Yea Reeves, Winona Ryder, Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey Jr, ect..
It was done a lot like Waking Life.. you may be thinking of that one..
Saw this on TV the other night... really makes you thinks about the law and how they operate.
Myles
yes it does.. I read the book afterwards and then watched the movie again.. like most closed systems.. military industrial complex, prison industrial complex, big pharma.. the elite run similar systems in the black market.
