Bruce Springsteen will release his new album, "Devils & Dust," April 26. The 12-song collection will be followed by a tour, according to Springsteen's New York publicist, that should be announced shortly. His world tour with his reunited E Street Band in 2002 and 2003 grossed a staggering $221.5 million. (Springsteen's last San Diego appearance was in 1996 on his solo tour; he has not performed here with the E Street Band since 1981.)
The album, his 19th, comes slightly less than three years after Springsteen's last studio album, "The Rising," was released. Two of the songs on the new disc, "The Hitter" and "Long Time Comin'," date to his mid-1990s solo acoustic tour.
