Hi guys,

Small question....

Frm now on if one wants to post news articles are there any guidelines.....

Coz if i remember right the way it used to happen was one of the reasons for UTC being shutdown and news forum frm UTC being locked in PCTT...

If you post news, you cannot just cut and paste the article from another site.You can either select a few sentences to quote from the article and then link to the article.Or better yet, you can summarize the article in your own words, and then link to the article for everyone to read.
I believe this is how the news posts will be done here.

Anyone can submit news articles. As before, anyone not on staff must have their news posts "validated" before they appear. What people cannot do, is copy and paste full articles directly from other websites. There are 2 permissable ways to do this.

1) Reword the article into your own words, and link back to the source of the article, giving credit to the original site (and author if available)

2) Copy the first 3 - 5 sentences, and link back to the source of the article, giving credit to the original site (and author if available)
