LOS OLIVOS, Calif. (AP) - An ebullient Michael Jackson greeted about 200 children who were brought Friday to the fairy-tale theme park at his countryside ranch - and looked at one point like he might even stay to play.

"I hope you have a wonderful day. Merry Christmas. I love you," the pop singer called out from the driveway of his estate.

When one of the youngsters shouted, "We love you!" Jackson replied "I love you more" before putting an umbrella over his head and walking back toward his house.

SANTA MARIA – A judge denied two defense motions to dismiss the Michael Jackson child molestation case and also rejected their bid to delay the trial, keeping alive a Jan. 31 trial date.

Defense attorney Robert Sanger asked Judge Rodney S. Melville to postpone the trial for three months so attorneys could sort through 14,000 pages of evidence filed by prosecutors during the past two months.

Melville cited the "scorched earth" approach taken by both sides when he announced his decision. The pretrial proceedings have been marked with the filings of numerous motions and vitriolic attacks by lawyers.

Michael Jackson has made an impassioned plea for a fair hearing on the eve of his trial for child abuse.
The pop icon said he would be "acquitted and vindicated when the truth is told", in a statement made on his website.

Mr Jackson, 46, has denied 10 counts of child molestation and conspiracy.

Up to 750 prospective jurors are due to be screened in the first stage of the long-awaited trial in California that could last up to six months.

In secret grand jury testimony, Jackson aides backed claims made by teen accuser and family

While the sexual molestation case against Michael Jackson relies heavily on the lurid and highly detailed accounts provided by the alleged teenage victim and his younger brother, a Santa Barbara grand jury last year heard testimony from other witnesses--several of whom worked closely with the embattled singer--that appears to corroborate many key aspects of the children's accounts of their troubling relationship with Jackson.

However, in what would be considered a plus for the defense camp, no witness--with the exception of the accuser and his brother--testified to ever seeing Jackson act inappropriately toward children. And since some of these 41 witnesses were close to the performer. . .

***Yes, it is true, I really detest this man. And, I have no pity in my un-Christian heart for him. IMO, he did worse than kill these kids, he stole there childhood, killed their innocense, and since he is obviously a repeat pediphyle, I would gladly add on to my already too high electric bill to juice him. But then, I'm not always the nicest person..........

And, he's just too damn ugly. Not a crime in and of itself, I don't judge people by their appearance, or try not to, but he crosses the line...........Blah:loser:....barf.:disgust:

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - An ill-looking and sometimes trembling Michael Jackson (news) arrived late to his child molestation trial again Monday, walking hesitantly into court along with a doctor in surgical scrubs, but after a 45-minute delay the judge ordered testimony to resume with no explanation to the jury.

Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville took no apparent action against the singer, who he had threatened with arrest and revocation of bail when he failed to show up on time on March 10 after an early morning trip to a hospital for treatment of what his lawyers said was a back injury.

On Monday, Jackson, 46, took tiny, hesitant steps entering the courtroom and appeared to be in great pain.

What a Drama Queen!!:violin: If I had ever shown up for court in my pajamas, I'd have been sited for contempt. Tardiness guaranties lock-up in this state as it is considered "bail-jumping".
I'd be trembling too if I were in his shoes. And the shows on TV lately about him IMO are actually hurting him more.

Damn, sending your child there is tantamount to sending him/her to Dahmer's house when Dahmer is hungry.

Whew, I feel better now.:disgust: :hmm:
