ares and winamp

is there a way to use winamp as the default player when i select songs in ares?

i can open them externaly and it opens them in winamp

however i cant add them to the playlist in winamp from ares

Why not make a folder on it's own and transport all your ARES files to it....problem solved.

Ares has it's own Built in Player....in older versions it used an external to preview songs..not anymore.

I have the new version. And you can preview it in an external program. Open winamp. Then:

Right click on the file. Click open external.

its the same with my ares though when u do click "open external" it clears the current playlist in winamp

basically i want to another option along the lines of "add to external playlist"

though i dont suppose there is any way to configure this

No, in Ares you have to use the Ares Playlist...really if your going to use an External, you might as well just make a Winamp Playlist.....

yeh but im just lazy! i still think it should be an option, i mean it cant be that hard to add in

Lol, ask them to add it. Although I dont think they will if ya tell them yer too lazy and it can be done in other ways..... :green:

that would be too cool to be true ;) but ares default player isn't that bad too, and it's not rwaly a problem to run ares and winamp together
