There are so many effects you can make just by using the lens flare fliter.
1) Creat new file. (Ctrl+N) Black Ground
Any size you wish. I used 500 X 500 for this example
2) Got to filter>Reder>Lens flare.
Play with it till you get the flare you like.
Place them anywhere you wish.
In this example I place one in each corner and one in the middle.
3) go to Filter>Stylize> Chrome
Play around with the setting till you find something you like.
4) Duplicate layer.
Go To Layers>Adjustments>Hue and saturation.
Click the box to colorize.
Slide the bars till you find something you like.
Change layer to color
You can stop there...or...
1) duplicate that layer.
Go to layer> Adjustments> Hue and Sat
Play with the bars till you find a color you are satisfied with.
2) Flip that layer to overlay.
