Carlos Delgado's 16-year tenure with the Toronto Blue Jays reportedly ended Tuesday.
According to the Toronto Sun, Delgado, 34, was not offered salary arbitration by baseball's midnight ET deadline, meaning the Blue Jays cannot negotiate with the slugger until May 1, 2005.
"He'll be playing somewhere, but I'm not sure where right now," Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi said on The Fan 590, a Toronto sports radio station.
If the report proves accurate, Delgado is now a free agent and likely to sign elsewhere.
"We've had offers from Texas, Seattle and Toronto," Delgado told the Sun.
The New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles are also reportedly interested.
