LOS ANGELES, (Reuters) - Sherry Lansing, who shattered Hollywood's glass ceiling by becoming the first woman to head production at a major studio, said on Tuesday she was stepping down as chairman of Paramount Pictures next year to start a new chapter in her life.
In an interview with Reuters, Lansing brushed aside suggestions that her departure was connected with the studio's recent lackluster performance and predicted that a turnaround was not only close but that next year would be one of the most profitable ever in Paramount's history.
