With the word "contraction" creeping into lockout discussions, attendance figures in cities that are new to NHL hockey have been scrutinized. Spector examined how the level of a team's play affects it's numbers at the box office.
During this lockout there has been a fair amount of attention aimed at the new markets created by the National Hockey League during their period of expansion in the 1990s. Some observers wonder if those respective markets are strong enough to sustain their franchises.

It sucks that there is no hockey this season. Go figure, I'm a native Floridian and I love hockey.

Hocky is one of the few games i understand. i played field hokey in boarding school. I think of sports as like Skiing, sailing, surfing, soccer, tennis, yeah, that's about it. Oh yeah, i do know some curlers.

i love bikeriding and running and the gym ...i gave up most sport like base ball basketball and streethokey. i hardly even wach sports except maybe for championship games. red socks woo hoo!;)
