Hey guys, need a little help to make sure i dont make a total arse outta myself. How do you use the image code to insert a pic into ur sig?:lamer:

where are you attempting to host it?

Free hosts generaelly dont work. try your ISP's webspace!

also try www. and http: some urls dont work with HTTP i know ( try going to http://zope.org.uk then go to www.zope.org.uk)

I used geocities to host it so i guess that could be why, i tried the www thing instead of the http thing but to no avail..what a bummer, oh well though:thumbsup:

Just noticed sumthin, when you go to properties and check out the address its "http://www.unitethecows.com/forums/www.geocities.com/dr_thunder2x/Memento_Mori.jpg" where as other sigs i have looked at dont have the unite the cows URL before the actual pic URL.. is that a result of the free host thing or something else?

Try http://www.villagephotos.com/ or http://www.miamihost.net/ for hosting pictures. They are both free and so far have worked well for me. If all you want to host is a sig try http://www.hostmysig.com/. They just got back the free hosting.

Ahhh vernarial i could kiss ya:dance: village photos compressed it a wee bit when i submitted it, though i selected no compression so its a little blurred but at last! my quest for a sig finally draws to a close :)

yeeeeeeeaaah, never thought about that wopping 5megabytes of external use lol. You dont have to host me though if ya dont want, no need to have ur bandwith eaten up as well :D

I switched to this smaller one to abide by the rules put forth today so hopefully it'll last a while longer, but if not, i think ill just go back to text:p less of a headache
