NEW YORK (Reuters) - Alex Rodriguez (news) drove in three runs and Orlando Hernandez (news) pitched seven strong innings to guide the New York Yankees (news) past the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (news) 7-4 in the American League Monday.
The contest at Yankee Stadium was due to be a doubleheader but the Devil Rays were late leaving Florida after Hurricane Frances hit the area.
The doubleheader was then canceled and the teams began their only game of the day at 1900 local time.
