I just moved on campus...and I knew it was going to be a problem trying to get my p2p apps to connect. So far, the G2 network connects fine. Ares connects ok. Piloet doesn't connect. And the eDonkey network doesn't connect. I've tried some different ports for eDonkey. I've been trying to connect to the donkey through Shareaza and eMule Plus. Any suggestions? I'm going to get these programs to connect....even if it kills me!

You would almost have to know which ports they're blocking access to, http on port 80 could work, but I'm not sure how to make Edonkey do that because I never use it.
BTW Which university is it?

I've been scanning the ports on my computer, to see which are open. It appears that every port from 1 to 65643 (or whatever the highest port is) is going to be stealthed.
Now I haven't run the scans on all ports. But I did run one that went from 1 to 1024. And they were all stealthed. I'm goin to cry! :(

you know what i want to know? if all my ports are stealthed, then how are certain programs able to connect and receive data through the ports they use? like ares, it connects just fine. shareaza connects to the g2 and g1 networks fine, but not the edonkey network. soulseek connects without problems. filetopia connects with no problems, but piolet won't connect. why are certain programs/networks able to connect but not others? and on a side note...port 80 is stealthed, so how does my browser connect? so frustrating...

Stealthed just means it's behind a firewall. Check out this link: http://wiki.shareaza.com/static/FAQ%253AFirewallsRouters
