Whenever I download a popular song from Kazaa, it plays for a while (22 seconds usually) and then breaks out with this crazy-ass bleepy-scratchy crap.

Could be......Fakes run rampid on Kazaa:( I know that the RIAA is watching Kazaa pretty closely. Just make sure you delete them so that others don't run into the same problem:)

There have been a good number spoof files probably released by the RIAA on the network. However, fakes and mislabeled stuff isn't anything new on fasttrack.

A lot more corrupt files on Kazaa than there used to be. Most of the popular files (ie Top 40) are bad. I switched to Piolet for those and they're always top notch.

I get that a lot, part of the reason I tend not to use FastTrack.

Usually if you search for a file, the one with the most users and rated "excellent" will be correct. There are rare cases (in my experience) that this is not the case and those files are actually fakes. If you find yourself having that problem, you can try this fix:

Don't fill in the search box. Instead, click on More search options. Put in the Title, Artist, and Album. I also recommend that you input the quality (at least 128, but at least 192 is better). See if this helps you at all when the normal method doesn't work.

it is sabatoge, eminem and 50 (to name a few) cent have a security company release fakes on fast track that are all scratchy and corrupt on perpose so that you cant DL their stuff...

wow after the many songs that i've downloaded,today is the first time I've ever downloaded a corrupt file from Kazaa,and that scratching is really annoying(someone should do a remix or something like they did with Madona's song):rockband:

Ity is a real shame what has happened to the Fasttrack Network. It still has the most files, and many good files. But there is so much crap on it now, from intentionally misnamed files, to instances where the folks are just so ignorant as to who sang what, that it isn't worth my trouble any more. The last 2 vid's I got, were both misnamed. No more Fasttrack for this filesharer. :thumbdwn:
