Alright you closet comic fans. I am looking for a good series of comics to start buying for my 9 year old son. I'm not looking for a collection, but one that has a good story line and good artwork. It has been years since I read any of the Spider-man, Batman, Superman, Fantastic 4 and others so I need a little help
Anyone have any suggestions???

Take your pic there buddy. I'd say a good place to start is buy a few issues of Wizzard World magazine. They are one of the best magazines about the comic industry I have seen. I used to buy one every month, just to see what was new, and what new comic based movies were in the works, etc. You can find all sorts of reviews, samples, reader's writes etc. Check out their webiste here (http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazines/wizard.cfm). ;)
But if you forced me to pick, is there any doubt who I would recommend? Just take a look at the old avatar & sig. :D

Good choices as well tiremonkey.
My favorites, in order are:
Batman
X-Men
Justice League
Superman
Avengers
Spiderman
Daredevil
Generation-X
Fantastic Four
Green Arrow
Marvel's "Ultimate" stories may be a good choice. They sort of start over with some of the big characters (X-Men, Spidey, etc) and re-tell their beginings. :)
