problem copying copies

g'day all, here's a lil question I hope somone may be able to answer.
I've been using clone dvd and anydvd (latest versions of both) to backup my dvds. When copying from an original I never have any issues, but when copying a backup (made with clone dvd) whatever burning software I use (alcohol 120%, nero, clonedvd) it always stops about halfway. Its as if the disc can't be read properly.
any ideas as to why this is occuring?

Possibily the fact that you are burning from a copy (not the original disk).

I've run into that problem myself on occasion.

your exactlt right, my problem is i'm using a copied disc.
But my question is how do i fix the problem?. somone was telling me about a ripping program that gives you the option to save a few centimetres around the edge of your disc being burnt to. This supposedly makes it possible to copy from a previously copied disk to a new blank disk. Anyone know anything about this?
