View Full Version : latest Kazaa++ Lite....
I have kazaa++ lite version 2.4.3 and I think there is a more recent one. when I searched in google there were many sites which required registration and even payment. However I was unable to find a site from which to download kazza++ lite free. Is there a newer version and if so where could I download for free?

I'm sure you can get it through most any of the other p2p clients, but my question is, why would you want to? There are now many more safer/better alternatives to KaZaA. KaZaA is dying, partly from the outside, partly from suicide. I'd try something else, but that is just me. ;)

The last 5 posts were deleted for 2 reasons. First, our pixel limits for images is 550 wide. Anything larger than that stretches the tables.
Second, and most importantly, UTC does NOT allow flaming of other members here. Both of you who were into this are fairly new here, so I'm cutting you some slack. Consider this an OFFICIAL WARNING. NO FLAMING is allowed here. Disgreeing and discussing the issue is fine, flaming will not be tolerated. See this (http://www.unitethecows.com/forums/announcement.php?s=&forumid=25) for our rules.

However, in the future I'm sure that you will discuss the information and not the informer, right? :D

Okay,
I've rechecked the FSP startpage in Firefox and IE. The adbox you've circled is not there in either. I thought maybe I forgot about it because of adblock in Firefox. Turned it off. Reloaded. Not there. I don't know what browser you're using but I'm not seeing it, and I do know I've read many times especially from Ricky they don't do KLR for money. As far as your "KLR not working with hash" pictures of Lite's posts, those posts were from early August. New versions have been released. Check for yourself http://filesharingplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1058
Although I forgot to mention KLR was based on the KMD 2.0.2 core, I did say it was 2.4.3 with updated tools. I didn't deny that. I'm not interested anymore in defending a program I didn't make.

Reread my above post, I removed the posts with the insults so it is pointless to continue to discuss them. If you feel you need to discuss the removed posts, do it in PM's, not in the forums for everyone to see. I f you 2 have problems with each other, solve them privately. I will not be saying anything further about this..........

Sorry Roadblock, I didn't appreciate being attacked and felt I needed to make a few points. I've edited my post above to remove personal attacks after seeing your warning.
Gladly dropped!

ok here is a pic of the ad just so you know i'm not lying.
have ever used klt k++ your self???
does klr have any of these capabilities??
starting with version 2.7.0 ther will be 3 different types to choose from for download:
#1: full install includes all 15 tools (13.7MB0
#2: basic install has only avipreview,kmagnet, kazupernodes,k-dat,k-sig, and sig2dat.(4.67MB)
#3: plain install has only kazupernodes and sig2dat (3.75MB)
on KLT K++ home page you will also find these tools (all upto date) separately ready to download.
the installer for these tools will insall them in th klt folder and add them to your tools inside KLT K++ so you can access them from KLT K++ and there is no need for you to confingure anything.
each tool will also add a shortcut for itself to the desktop and the KLT K++ start menu incase you want to access them from the desktop or the start menu.
1: avipreview+ (this installer will also add avipreivew to your right click preview menu option)
2: kmagnet
3: k-dat
4: k-sig
5: sig2dat
6: kazupernodes
7: badipupdater
8: hoststools
9: kanat
10: mp3shield
11: kchecker
12: gspot
13: kcf
14: vertual dub
15: isobuster
these are the tools that will have installers to be intergrated into KLT K++ but are not included in the full install of 2.7.0. (these tools have not been added because the will make the installer for KLT K++ way too big so they are offered seperatly for those who are intersted)
so far:
16: videolan (this installer will also add videolan to your right click preview menu option)
17: P-track
18: Filedevil
customise it to say your own name in the app
you know at kltforums we offer klr for download (ofcouse we don't recommend it, buggs, ads, lesse of an app.)
have you noticed that fst does not even offer klt for download.
and every thread tells people to use klr or k-lite
at kltforums we recommend klt, klite 2.4.4 dg_mortal's version (and he has been with the klite project before i was even there, and both of us where there long before mavol came along) and k-lite 2.6rc22
its verys simple, all three of those programs easily blow away klr in stability, otptions, and integrity. no verion of klite has ever had an ad, its against klite code. the whole point was to have an ad/spyware free client.
you were not there a month ago when all the ex supposed developers of klr said it was dead and then all of a sudden now there is a new team (is this the 3rd team or the forth team???, lol i'm losing count) if mavol knows about klite why does he need a klr team??
i made klt k++ with the help of admin and mods of kltfourm. i'm the first one to make and i'm still here and we never had any sig2dat bugs to fix or ads or anything like that.
and for the record i was the first one to tell darth vikirum ( the original maker of klr) that he should continue the project, because no body else liked it) but he could not figure out the stability buggs and the others. and the fact that its just made with resource hacker
check out the web for it its amazing you can actually listen to streaming music. i mean the list goes on an on its no contest
go here to preview it (http://www.klitetools.com/MM/preview.html)

ANSWERS
1.) No. Now I recall until earlier this week I'd never heard of it. Someone at FSP made a mention of it.
2.) True. I can't disagree with that.
3.) Actually, I was there. I actually have been a regular visitor here, FSP, Zeropaid, and Slyck for quite some time. I'd guess probably about a year, but it hasn't been until the last few months that I've registered and started to make some posts. So I know KLR's history going back a little while now. I never meant to say I thought Mavol or Rickey sounded like they were great programmers by themself and in their defence they have posted on quite a few ocasions they need help. They haven't denied that. That's why they've recruited other FSP regulars to help out. I agree KLR needs a lot more work on it. I even said that in a post there recently. Right now they've got a pretty big team of people that sound determined to make big improvements to it. I don't know these people's skills well enough other than to say time will tell how much KLR improves.

good enought boss.
but what i'm trying to tell you is that klr is never gonna inmprove. you can't make it improve. and even tho at fsp they says they are more then just klite and klr is not for money.
take a look at why they have so many visitors and members but nody is ever on line no more then 6 or 7 at or 8 at a time. and how come they only have klite versions for download if they are more then about klite??
just some thoughts for since they do a great job of brain washing poor noobs over there.
in finall i let you and everybody on a littel secret.
when it comes to helping people with klite problems over there every body is a fake except for "lite" he is the only person over there that realy knows what he is talking about. and if fsp is more then just klr then why don't they have klt for download?? you know why because its better and it already has a forum, so they can't bring people there and ask them for donation. without klr there would be no fsp,
don't belive me or take my word for it, look for yourself, the biggest section of fsp is what??? klr with over 2000 posts.
look at the homepage it says on tome you can find p2p software and more but then that page is all about klr and the download page also is only klite no other p2p nore do you see any other software out there.
take a look at kltfourms (you have to register to see the forum due to some contents inside the board) and tell me if the same thing is true for us (www.klitetools.com/forums.html) and also look at www.klitetools.com and tell me if you only see kazaa there or what
:)
in short you want places to go to decide what p2p is good or which one to use right here at the COW is one of the best places and you can find it also in the new web of klt k++ or maybe some other forums.
but not fsp that place is all about money and only what they have
just some info boss thats all just trying to show you the whole picture.
good luck

I've got a few questions. A few are for you klitetools and one is a general question for whoever answers first. The general question is what exactly is a magnet link and what's the purpose for this kind of link?. I don't believe I've come accross one yet.
Klitetools,
Am I right in assuming Klt K++ is based on the latest core version of KMD(same as klite v2.6 rc22) or is it based on an older core version. I've read having an older core(ala KLR) creates compatibility issues when updating tools to newer versions.
Also, I noticed in your list of tools included you have k-sig and sig2dat. Both handle sig2dat links. Why have both?

A magnet link enabling seamless integration between websites and locally-running utilities such as P2P software. A user, by clicking on the magnet link on a website, will initiate the download of that particular file that the magnet link refers. The reference is usually done by hash coding ensuring that you are downloading the real file and not a fake.

no klt is based on klite 2.4.3 (aka older version of kmd) all the tools you saw run on klt k++ with no problems, also remember that our installers for each tool will intergrate the tool in to klt k++'s tools, so you can run it from inside klt or from start>all programs>klt k++ folder.
unfortunatly roko did not continue to update the extensions (for good reasons i'm sure, as we have much respect for him.)
and because of that if we base klt on a newer version the extensions and all the k++ options disapear. Being an old user of klite myself, i wanted to continue with the progect that we all had been use to so i stuck with klite 2.4.3.
as for as k-sig and sig2dat there seems to be some handeling issues with k-sig at a few forums that i have been too, so i added sig2dat as the main program for the noobs. for us experts we can fix any problems we come accross with links period.
but remember that the new klt k++ 2.7.0 will come in plain version where you can pick and choose all your tools one by one and customize it with what ever tools and name you wish.
