DVDs will only play in a DVD Drive...do all the other machines have one?

And in case they do have dvd drives, they might not support that particular disk type you use, so check for specs if they support dvd-r(w)/+r(w) depending on what you use. Especially older models may have difficulties reading more modern discs.

I have heard the dvd-r format works alot better for most of the older machines.

First, yes the machines have dvd drives. Funny question. Im dumb but not that dumb LOL. The problem happens on many machines that are not old at all. In most of those cases other recorded dvds seem to play fine just not the ones I did. I may be using the wrong software or wrong blanks. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the best blanks to use and best software to allow the dvds to play on the largest number of machines. I read somewhere that the blanks made in japan are better than other places.
Thanks
