I highly recommend Spybot S&D at http://security.kolla.de/ They have a slightly better beta version somewhere in their forums (do a little searching if u want), but the regular download is on their main site. It's very good, although they haven't updated in a long time. Still, very good at what it does.

Then, there's the free version of adaware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ that you can pick up. it's updated a lot, but using it along with spybot usually is a good combo just in case one misses something.

Thanks,alien
I had them installed both the free version of ad-aware but I still had problems.
They donīt seem to have any "spies" in them. But most of the other free versions
of spyremove programs have them.

It goes like this

U get shi*

U get a shovel with other shi* attatched to it.

U get a second shovel with or without shi*,who knows?

And on and on

At last you take all the shovels throw them away, exept the first one,you take that one and try to remove all the shit you have left after using all the other shi*shovels

For spyware I use Ad-Aware first, followed by Spybot S&D, and for viruses I use AVG.

If you got browser hijackers on your system, more than likely you will need to delete your HOSTS file and then replace it with Spybot's HOSTS file.

Another tool for the arsenal is "Webroot's SpySweeper."
I use it in conjunction with SpyBot, Ad-Aware, AVG AntiVirus Free Edition and Sygate Personal Firewall Pro.

Spy Sweeper found things that the others missed. It's not free, but can be found. ;)

Colin, have you tried any of this programs?

Shades! good tip for the hijackers Iīll check it out.

Roadblock, thatīs tru some thingīs slips thru, same as always if u are cheap u canīt be legal;)

I was looking for the man with the plan,
with the right way to move,in the
shareware, freeware jungle cause my knowledge is small in this area.
But I know a lot of this programs cause more problems than they solve.
And if u use them in the wrong order u have more problems than u started with.
