Since mp3 has been on top for a long time what audio codec do you think will surpass mp3 if any

None?

It's close to impossible..OGG is still too hidden and mp3s rule the file sharing world

Oh well..you dont see any OGG players yet do ya?

if by that you mean computer players.....well 99 percent of them do. but not standalones....

i heard something about a format based off mp3, the title was very close to it, but i totally forget about the rest *L*

OGG is definately gunna be the next big one in my mind. There is 1 standalone player if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if its cd or some kind of flash card/miny hard drive though. The potential just seems great. Only way to find out is to wait and see if it lives up to all the hype.

Actually, there are alot of players that support ogg now.I am kind of surprised that more ppl haven't started using ogg.The support is there.Mp3pro files are horrible.I know alot of ppl who won't even download if they are mp3pro files.

It is just that mp3 is most visible file format...... ogg doesnt have the kind of visibility that mp3 has ..

So i think Ogg needs bit more exposure so then it might start catching up
