Scrolling Problem

Okay guyz ive noticed a problem when im using the scroll bar in some threads. This is'nt that big a problem but can be quite annoying when browsing larger threads. Ive noticed it happen in the jokes thread, when I click the scroll bar to thr right of my IE 6 window and drag it up to the top of the thread it automatically jumps back down!! Im finding it slightly annoying because on a thread with many post I dont wanna be using the scroller on my mouse to get from the bottom to the top!!

There's no serious hurry to get this problem fixed, im just wondering has anyone else experienced this? if so could ypou help me out? here's the spec you may need to know:

Im using microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 2
Im also using the greenthumb theme.

That's all I can think of that would be nesscary in solving this problem if you need any more nfo let me know..

if you move your mouse too far to the left when scrolling
the scroll bar will jump to the bottom

it happens mostly on long threads cos ur scrolling in one long stretch
you might notice it doesnt on short threads ;)

get a mouse with a scroll wheel :squint:

Strange. Mine does that when scrolling "shared files" in WinMx.

You may want to check and see if theres an update for your mouse driver.

this is the right forum collin, and I am glad I am not the only one having the problem. I have noticed it happening latley too, I am not to sure what it is. It happens to me too, but not in every thread which would indicate to me its not the mouse. If it were it would be happening all of the time, and on other websites other than this one......
I would definatly like to know exactly what the deal is tho!!!

yeah I know it's not the mouse as it does only happen in the longer threads and not on different websites. My mouse does have a scroller wheel but on longer threads this proves to be pretty annoying as you have to use the wheel a lot and this takes a long time.

FW I think your right as I have only noticed it recently.
Colin - as for using the scroll bar to much to the left im not sure. I will let you know if I still x-perience this problem....

No its not which is kinda weird. Has anybody else any ideas what could be going on here??

If you have MyIE2 and use "Mouse Gestures" you don't have to scroll or use the slide bar.

Your right colin it happens when you drag the mouse to the left, and only on the larger threads.

hmmm....it does it to me even when I dont drag it to the left............

Its quite odd, because some people are having this problem and some arent and the people that are having it seen to be experiencing it differently :hammered:
