If the files are long (movies or cd images), it may take a while to start downloading (since there'll be some people downloading them). Sometimes it takes hours, sometimes days...

Also some networks have longer queues than other (ed2k network has longer queues, but fast rotations, so you'll eventually get chucks of the files you're queued). Try downloading some small popular file to verify that everything is ok.

I'm glad to hear that it's working. You just have to be patient with large files, it sometimes takes a while (that can be days!). But Shareaza 1.8.9.0 is a good program, it connects to two large networks Gnutella/Gnutella2 and eDonkey2000 (ED2K). And it has also Bittorrent :) .

Ya, right now i don't know all of its features, but it seems pritty good, the only problem is, a file has been pending for like 2 days...

And i can't seem to limit the amount of users uploading like kazaa lite, so i have way to many connected.. I have no problem sharing thats what P2P is all about, but i don't want to be bum rushed..

Anyway, at least they are getting good upload speeds!

you might not be able to state amount of users that can upload. but you can limit bandwidth to for example 20kb/s

go to tools shareaza options and upload to limit the upload bandwith

No go to Network and under outbound address type in what you want to limit it too...

like 20.00 KB/s or w/e

In that manner..

As for limiting the amount of people downloading from you, just go to Upload and click on one of those those upload queues on the bottom and press edit..then set a maximum and minimum for each

I think the way of setting user upload numbers is "Number of Connections", or something like that anyway.

It's great, I like G2, it's good for PeerWeb as, although our team isn't very big, G2 has global searching and once you get a connection the speeds are good.

A tip for shareaza.
I have been sitting downloading X program for nearly a week now. But if you want a quicker download view the people its trying to download off and remove the Queues that is more than 150 or 100 you download can be downloaded quicker but also check your settings and connection because the setting of 2000 it just pings to many people and slows your computer down aswell as there computer.

Hope this helps
