I think one can learn allot from somebody by seeing what kind of music they like :) I personally listen to most everything from Death Metal to Classical..though i tend to stay away from from mainstream pop and country :) What about you guys?

Classic R and B, Philly soul, the blues and classic bluegrass and country. Theses are tastes I aquired later in life. I grew up on rock and roll and punk. I lump all popular music under "rock" including new wave, techno, etc. Rap is not music, it's beat poetry at best, and annoying crap at worst.

One of the reasons I love p2p is that it has given me the chance to listen to alot of different sorts of music,
music I would never have listened to if I had to go out and buy it.

I basically listen to all music Rock, punk, dance, pop and even as alegar says country.

If p2p wasn't here, I wouldn't be listening to Trance music and learn all the cool stuff from it.

I like ska and punk rock, as well as some older plain ol rock.

examples of the ska-ish bands i like are the Mad Caddies, the Mighty Mighty Bostones, Reel Big Fish, etc, although the mad caddies are more of Punk Skeggae with a twist of.... something else. lol

any suggestions from you? id like to get back into their rythmn.

my fav. mad caddies songs are road rash, the gentlemen (of course), betty, the joust, no se, nobody wins at the laundromat, theres something wrong at the playground, and pretty much every song except youth gone wild :)

for funny songs of the mad caddies try Mums the word, Preppie Girl, and Weird Beard

I disagree I think 2 ppl can like the same type of music and be tottaly diferent from each other, or on the other end, can like tottaly diferent styles of music and be very similar in terms of values and behaviour. but that's just IMO

Classical, classical crossover, opera(Andrea Bocelli,Sarah Brightman, Ronan Tynan et al)
Classic Country(like Conway Twitty,Glen Campbell,Charlie Pride,Johnny Cash!!)
Classic rock(Jethro Tull,Moody Blues,Stones,The Who,The Doors to name a few)
Modern rock(Nickelback,3 doors down tons of goodies out there)
Heavy metal(OZZY SAVES!)
And yes I even listen to pop and gladly admit it.(Avril Lavigne is too adorable)
Oh and good ol' soul music!!!!!! Otis Redding!!!!!

So,I listen to just about all genres except Jazz & Gangsta Rap. And not much into what they call young country, Shania Twain turned me off with her asinine lyrics, lot of stupid new country, Sheesh....."she thinks my tractor's sexy" lame!!!!!

I love music, I don't care what kind, any kind is fine. I only like opera if I am watching an opera, cuz then it makes sense.

I'm into some metal and a lot of hard rock and also some soft rock, stuff like opeth. I really hate pop and rap, imo rap shouldn't even be considered music
