If you are trying to copy the installed programs off your hard drive, it will not work. Copying the installed program doesn't give them the installer. Best thing to do is make a 1 for 1 copy of each disk and give that to them.

Use CloneCD to make 1:1 copies. Also, the dirt-track racing sounds like a game, which is most likely copy-protected.

Also, what burning software are you using? And what is it that the burning software wants you to install? (curious as to what it wants you to install)

As taddzilla said, trying to burn programs that are "installed" on your computer is a waste of time (unless you just want to back-up the programs files in case of a file corruption or whatever).

Just burning the files from the programs directory won't allow it to be installed on another computer (unless it is a "stand-alone" program that did not require an installer)

You have to burn the "whole" install package for it to able to install on another machine. Whether it be a single install file or a group of installation files for a specific program.

Hope this helps... :)
