How do you get your games ?

Just out of curiosity how do most of you get your games. Do you shell out the 50 dollars for it or just plane out right download it cause they're too expensive for what you get.

I'm not a big gamer, so generally downloads. Obviously if it's something like Vice City for PS2, then I buy it. Otherwise, the only PC game I really play is CS.

If I feel that the game is just too good to download..I buy it and support the makers

Otherwise...the 95% of my games are downloaded

i dont play computer games, nor do i own any new game systems. mostly i play atari and super nes, and games for them are cheap, so i buy all mine. though i am getting a dreamcast soon, and im probably going to download games for it.

I only really buy PC games which are only £25-£30 so it aint that bad. I dont buy many i only buy the ones i know i am gonna like.

hey strick............. i tend to download the game to try it out even just a demo but if i like the game alot il buy it like CS or max payne

this works out best not shellin out £45 for a game you dont like and dont play !!!

I usually download games off of kazaa lite (rarely), emule, and private ftp servers. Most of my friends do the same thing but I'm not really into games so my friends always try to push them on to me. Recently one of my friends downloaded Enter the Matrix for me and burned it on 4 cds but I don't really play it. Basically I'm jsut too damn cheap.

I try them out and if I really like them I buy them

Although that doesnt happen to often

I usually d/l from imesh, if it's good then I'll buy it for the manuals, original disc, etc.

Most of the times when I see a game that I want, I download it, and if it's worth I buy it. If a demo is available, I download it before. But I also buy based on comments.

I don't have a lot of games, thought, because I like to finish all games before moving to another :) . And since they're expensive I want to make sure for what I'm paying!

I'll go out and buy the original games which I know I'll like. Fo those which I'm not sure about, I'll review it thought the 'copy' version.
Don't dl games, I'll rather use my bandwith to dl muzic or movies.

You get the games from fasttrack?

Wow..are you downloading rips (.exe) or full iso and bin files?

Whatever he/she's downloading, it isn't the best of ideas to get it from FastTrack. Corruption, RIAA, etc.

I suppose if I download something and I really like it, I'll buy it. Otherwise, those game makers ain't getting no £$!!!

That's right..and all they share on FastTrack are rips which suck ass

I like to "pre-view" all my games. I usually get them from overnet or if I'm in a real hurry I'll get them from IRC. Either way I can't really see paying more than 30 dollars for a game guess I'm too cheap.

When I used to be a big gamer I didnt have cable, but usually got the game from a friend and either a crack for no cd or a burned copy. I never really played anything that was offline was more into the mmorpg's or the fps games where you had to have a personal cd key to work. Therefore I bought the games I played.

for pc/console (ps2 and xbox are modded) i usually download them via donkey or irc try them out if thay are rubbish i dont buy if its great ill go n buy straight away no matter what the price tag says (as if lol im not rich) i usually wait for the game to reduce in price befor i buy it meanwhile ill be playing the pirate :)
