320kbps MP3's If I can get em. I try to stay at least above 192, but sometimes if I want a particular song or artist I have to sacrifice quality. :)

All of the cd's that i rip are encoded into uberstandard oggs using the latest ogg encoder and EAC to do the ripping.

Until I get a new mp3 player which can handle ogg or wma I'm going to have to stick with mp3.

I like ogg a lot but it's still hard to find ogg files... s most of my collection is mp3 @ 160Kbps or more
Mp3 with at least 160 bitrate and mp3pro.
Ogg's a fantastic format, but unless mp3 players support them i'n sticking with mp3.

OGG-Vorbis for me. I rip all my stuff into OGG. You can also find some OGG using Piolet/Blubster. ;)

WMA mathematically lossless VBR - sure it is a lot bigger than an mp3 - but it sounds better.

hi
Mp3 : only if in 192 min
ogg : cool..but hard to find
MPC : the BEST..!!! i really prefer this format... Better thant mp3 in 320, better than ogg, and less spaces... :p
Great , no .??
I dont pay attention. As long as it plays its all good.

I agree with yoda. I dont care much which format my music is in.
In the past i've had mp3, ogg, wma, mpc, monkeys audio, flac and shn. Probably others too.
I dont care, as long as it sounds good.
Most of my music is mp3 though, because obviously it is the dominant format.
By the way what is "mathematically lossless vbr" dr avery?

i severely dislike wma. if you're shooting for rich sound quality then the fraunhofer or LAME mp3 codecs at high bitrates and processing levels are more space efficient than lossless wma and often sound better.
