just wondering about upgrades if any of you guys and girls are thinking ahead for the release of HL2 ??
please post your current spec and what you will be upgrading

Well, the fact that my old comp died and that HL2 is supposed to hopefully come out sometime.I built myself a new machine...Here it is
Intel P4 3.0ghz 800FSB
ASUS p4p800 motherboard
Twin Corsair 512MB 3200LL 400
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Soundcard
ATI Radeon Pro 9800 128MB
Western Digital SATA 120Gig 7200RPM 8MB Caching HDD
450Watt Power Supply
Sony DRU510A DVD R/RW +/-
I have already benchmarked my video card with 3dmark 2001 SE and I got scores just a hair under 16000..The ATI 256 and Geforce 4 cards have only gotten scores around 17000 or 18000.

128 videocard - new but didn't get it just for hl2
160gig hard drive
plenty sufficent and i got it oct 2001, but i've put in a fiar share of upgrades
wow that is a system id love one like that i bet that set u bk a few quid
well my setup is above recomended spec but it aint that good
drwtwn im asking cause recomended specs are 2ghtz processor and directx 9 GC just checkin 2 c weather ppl are goin 2 get over minimum spec
good news for lower spec gamers minimum spec is 700mhrtz and a graphics card. lol run awful like but its gaming at least

2 ghz recommended? wow that's pretty high I don' think i'll be upgrading my processor but i'll still get teh game. I'm guessing it will still run fine

so take it how you may but i have played on a friends system with an mx440 and it runs fine on medium to high settings ;) we will c how thangs progress
