Hi
I have a newbie question that may be obvious so please excuse me if it is.

I have been running Azureus on a laptop now for about 2 yrs.
I have a very good share ratio due to the laptop being permanently connected to internet.

I want to reinstall windows on the laptop but I was wondering what happens to my share ratio if I do.. will I lose it ?

If i will lose it, can I move it somehow after I have re-installed windows?

whats the best way forward?

Thanks for help

I personally don't know too much about that program. But I would think that if you re-install windows (wiping the harddrive) then it will react to your computer as if it were brand new. Unless Azureus remembers your stats via the connection, and not some folder on your computer, then maybe it'll keep it.

The best I can suggest is to copy all your Azureus program files, and when you re-install windows and Azureus, replace the files with the copies ones.

No Azureus doesn't remember your stats, that you don't have to worry about because your stats are saved the site or forums that you get your files from. I have 2 comps, one which is a backup so if one goes down i just hook up the other comp. But you will lose your files and will have to re- download them.

So no your ratio cannot go from one pc to the next because of different ISP's unless you redownload everything all over again.
