How to setup waste i have it now what.

it helped if you wrote what i need to do here . how does waste know where to connect? does it need the ip ????? I know we need each other public keys. :type:

yes i read it and do i only need the ip of the person im connecting to ?


Some on the words written in the link are close together so i couldnt understand it.

okay, here it is in a nut shell:

make sure you have each others' public keys.

make sure you have the same 'network id'

and then one of you connect to the other's IP

make sure they have your IP, and that you have theirs.
make sure that both proggies are on at the same time.
make sure that WASTE isnt firewalled.
make sure that you have the correct IP
make sure that if you have their IP and that they have yours, and that both proggies are running at the same time, and that you know whether or not the IP's are static or dynamic. If you have dynamic IP;s then you need to go into preferences and force IP.

I have a suggestion William. Download SoulSeek (www.soulseek.com) and use the "Share with buddies only" feature. It is just as safe, and not nearly as complicated to set up as Waste is. You decide who is on your buddy list, and only they can see/access your files. That is all there is to it. ;)
