Something my girlfriend wrote the other day:


Oceanic Rise


The window pours sunshine in
like orange juice into a glass.
I see the ceiling, unmoving -
gritty like the beach.
Although, there's no hint of an ocean,
I lay under the waves of sheets,
nuzzled against you like
a seashell on wet sand.
