Intimidated

Hi all.
I am truly overjoyed to see our community back in place.
A little about myself:
I found UTC when Russ contacted me a couple of years back offering to host a download for me, from my Kazaa Rebound project.
Then, I just fell in love with this site, and quickly became an admin.
After a few months, I left the team (in one way or another). I'm not going to go into details here, as far as i'm concerned it's all in the past. UTC merged with PCTechTalk, and I faded from the community.
Well, now i'm back (yes YOU will have to put up with my company lol) as a community member, and i'll be damned if i'm going to leave UTC again -- i've missed y'all!
So... what's your story?

Now were complete that Intimidated is here :D
another ex-staff here thoose were the days but as you say Int the past is just that
I cant remeber how I found this place but also fell in love with it :)
When utc merged went down I started a site got stupidly busy with work and now were all back were we belong. Id just like to thank a long list of people for the times we had (you know who you all are ;) ) and juding by the reopening its only gonna get better
Welcome back. I wish I got to talk to you guys more...
A couple years ago, I was doing a project on cows. Not really.
I was a zeropaid member, and I was having a rough go over there. After asking a routine question and being flamed for it, I decided to shift. Thats how I found UTC.
I joined here, and acted like a real n00b. No wonder I was flamed at ZP  . I quickly learned though, and started to help out a tiny bit. Posted news (MP always posted more though), helped around a bit, welcomed people..... the stuff UTC is all about.
Then I was voted in to be admin. It was a fun run while it lasted, meeting people, having special powers to spam it up all you want (that ***** guy spammed more though....), and liked being a rep of UTC. But blah blah happened, and I lost my status as admin.
Thats when I started back on ZP, reading more there, and posting. Started to drop off UTC bit by bit... Until posts by me were rare.
UTC went down and merged with PCTT. Although I was a member there before it happened I was a little miffed. That healed when people started to talk to me. Then I was made a mod there by Nut, a great guy all around.....
Read on a forum post that UTC was coming back. Imagine my surprise! I spread the word a bit, and really was looking forward to it. Unite posted there that it would be a brand new site; sometimes fresh starts help rekindle flames. Lets see if this flame will last even longer...

I think this was the first P2P site I came to, aside from MusicCity, KaZaA.com, etc. Didn't stay long, discovered Zeropaid. Felt I "fitted in" better, never really came back.
Started up KaBuddy.com with HuH0X, then after a while and a lot of different PHP CMS's, we merged with PeerWeb. And we've been more successful than we could have hoped.
I've been a "regular" at ZP for some time now, amassing 1700 posts since last October. There's been a lot of turbulence, and I feel I'm slipping away from the site.
When UTC merged with PCTT, I went into #unitethecows to see what was happening. I found Inti, ToM and JiMi, among others, talking about "the site". I inquired as to what this was, and discovered they were setting up a new community, P2P Forums. I spammed the boards to ****, with 100 posts in less than 48 hours. Don't ask me why, I really don't know. Didn't return for a while. Went back this Wednesday and since then have been attending to my spamming duties, with about 150 posts in the last 3 days.
I nearly forgot, my nrPatch! What a waste of time that was! It was at the time of the "Super Deluxe Advanced Excellent Amazing" Kazaa Lite patches. I downloaded Resource Hacker and set about tidying Smash's Advanced Version up a bit. I was kidding myself thinking it would be popular really, and after a fortnight or so, when my site went from having a few hundred hits a day to more like 5000, I quickly removed it, not particularly wanting the "authorities" on my tail.
Anyway, that's a rough version of my P2P story up until now.

Well, Gbread told me about this site. I am a member of p2pzone and he was as well, when UTC was "down" for the summer. When it came back up he posted in the forums and you could literally hear the whooooosh as peeps went to check it out.
I figgered it must be sumfin special and have since learned how special it really is.
We is a herd once more an it feels too good to be true. Can't wait fer the rest of the herd ta wander in..........................

I believe that the original UTC was started around Nov. of 2001, but I could be mistaken.
And Hawkburn, nobody talks bad about Texans around here. The boss lives in Houston. ;) oh, and welcome to the herd. :)

Unite and Raztro in Houston at the same time, this sounds like a chance for some real UTC bonding, or a covert meeting, ah what ever. It is really good to be home again.
*alegar gathers everyone up and starts a group hug (while makeing sure berks and hova are away from the girls)
I am a junor spammer from the Blugrass state and fix lawn mowers for a living, and I came here to UTC back last October I think right after I got my computer and internet, as an escape from reality. I was going threw a real bad streach in my life and needed to get away for a while. You all can thank Rb for causing you all to have to put up with me (hehehe). I love computers and Dnd (3erd ed).

its been so long ago I dont remember how I found this place but I fell in love right away and couldnt get enough. The people in the herd were so wonderful.
I originally signed up as feenies-girl, but when I relized how much I loved it I knew I was going to be here long after I was married. I then had to PM Unite to change my name, but instead, he deleted my account(LOL)....then HE re-registered me.When I came back later that night I found he had gone above and beyond what most would have done (any one else would have sent me an e-mail saying oops re register). That made me reilize what a wonderful place this was.
and the rest is history in the making:)

my story..hummmmmmmm well I for one was never real big on forums just kinda surfed around reading here and there about this and that. Then my dad (gbread49 :p ) got to telling me about this great site he came across and how i should check it out. I was like yeah yeah yeah I will one of these days. Then one day surfing along over at the Gnutella forums I saw someone had said something about UTC. So, I thought thats the same site dad was going on about the other day and went over to take a peek. I immediately fell head over heals for UTC, joined up and got to know alot of great people here. Slowly but surely *L* I began soaking up all the great info peeps provided on the site and began helping and contrubuting where I could. I eventually got to work with Unite when he was looking for designs for the UTC tshirt. But to make a long story short I was promoted to Admin and enjoyed worked with the great staff we had and was honored when asked to return to be a part of the "rebirth" of UTC.
I look forward to doing my best here again and am gald to see all the familiar faces and getting to know all the new ones! :D
Long Live UTC!!!!!!!!!

Another ex-mod here. I think I originally came here looking for something in the downloads section. I registered, and after that i became hooked on UTC. I was a mod on the old utc, but when the merger happened, various events occured, and kind of dropped away from pctt. I am glad to see utc back on the scene again.

Moooo!
Well here's my story on how I came upon UTC.
Me and Kitty worked at this great place at one time. ;)
She told me about the site. I remember her showing me the designs for the UTC shirts. I thought how cool. I finally registered in Jan and I've been here every since until the merge. I always loved this place. Everyone is nice and they make you feel right at home. :)

Hmmmm. Unite the Cows. Registered December 31st, 2002 (the first time). I have no interesting history about the “old” site. I participated, regularly I’d say. Had some good times on the boards. And that’s pretty much it.:)
