Firefox is a web browser. It is similar in use as Internet Explorer and Opera. There are others, but those are the most popular. Many members on P2P sites tend to lean towards Firefox for its ease of use, variety of plug-ins, and the fact that it's not a Microsoft creation. The belief is you are not as monitored and that it has less bugs and problems as Internet Explorer (IE). While I have Firefox installed on my computer, I tend to use IE out of habit and because I rarely have issues with it. IE7 has been working wonderfully lately and has features similar to Firefox. Just use whatever one suits your tastes.
