renaming hard drives

how do i go about renaming my hard drives like i have a drive I and want to rename to E

[DreamCaster]

If you're talking about assigning a drive letter it varies depending on what operating system you have. In Windows 2k it's in the control panel under "Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Disk Management. Right-click on the drive letter that you want to change and choose "Change Drive letter and Path". Click on the edit button and you can choose which drive letter to assign.
