If it gets down to 70 where I live in California, everyone puts their jackets on, 60 is when we get frostbite and have to amputate our fingers.

That's a mighty good looking family there lil_amb. I guess good looks does run in the family. No, in fact, it gallops! ;)

Here is a pic of our African Grey Parrot "Seena" from this past Christmas. She is 11 and could live into her 60's or 70's. That is highly doubtful though, as I may kill her long before that. (lol) J/K

She can mimic any noise or voice you can imagine, and has a full vocabulary of words and phrases. During college basketball season, she even roots for the KY Wildcats. She will say, "Goooooo Cats. Come on guys!"

Up here in the Daisy State--That would be the cow state, yup, Wisconsin, it's kringle, beer, brats, cheese, and BRANDY. More brandy is consumed in this state, not even a state product, than in all other 40 combined. Just a bunch of brandied up high colesterol folks up here.
Once, when I was a young thin lass, I didn't live in Wisconsin.
I will follow this up with some really rare WI photos that let you know why people like Gacy and Dahmer just had to snap up here--yeah, also home of really weird serial killers.
And, btw, Dahmer was not put in a psychiatric facility because he was not crazy. Kept vats--55 gal drums--of body parts in the living room, ate people, but not crazy. Suffered from separation anxiety and an eating disorder. I could start a thread on famous WI criminals, and give you some intimate details on some of them, 3 of the best female ones were my roommates at one time or another. Ick!!
Ask my Mom, I was underground on an anthropological study.

ever tried adobo? Not sure, sounds familiar. I lived in Hawaii 3 different times when I was younger. I do know pancet though. Not sure if I spelled it right though. I miss the tropical pacific. I love the Atlantic also, but no hurricanes in the Pacific. and the tsunamis we got in Hawaii were nothing.

Very nice tree Tadd. I finally relented and put one up. Miss Gia opened every package as it hit the house so I was out at Walgreen's this morning trying to get some last minute stuff to surprise her.

Lumpia is sort of like an egg roll. If I remember right there are several ways to make pancet.I was stationed in the P.I. for three years. I learned tagalog however what I can remember of it now would ether get me laid or my face slapped. LoL

Yeah, I had heard Subic Bay was always a hot spot when the Navy guys went on WesPac.

I actually have some lumpia wrappers--I used to prefer them to eggrolls.

I found another one. This one has my good buddy kayla in it to. Yay! I know we don't look to pretty, but this was after a full day of skiing and wakeboarding.
