I'm not sure why I'm starting this thread now. I've just started the book, and am 50 pages in. So far, interesting. But I don't really want to comment too much until the book is finished. Just thought that I would, for some reason, announce that I am reading yet another Vonnegut book.

Ok, so I finished this book recently, and I'd like to say that it is one of the better ones that he's done. I certainly wouldn't say that it was the best that Vonnegut has done, but if I were to make a list of the top five that I've read, it would be up there.
The story surrounds a narrator that died, and has the ability to just tell the story. He is living 1000000 years in the future, on the Galapagos Islands. He tells the story of the last humans that survive a world ending event, and crash land on the islands. The story surrounds the last few days before the event, and how these people came to be the founders of what would become of the human race.
As I've noticed, Vonnegut is into the whole 'end of the world' thing, and this is yet another novel that takes us to that point. I think it was done quite well, it was entertaining, and had some clever lines to it. By no means is it a great novel, but if you're looking for something to pass the time, a good read, and don't want to check out the bazillion Harry Potter books, check this one out.
