Shareaza all the Source for nothing?

Hi to anyone and everyone reading this,

I have in the past bragged on about how good Shareaza is, now i have a problem but i naturally do not feel it is Shareaza that is the problem.

Im using Bulldog Broadband 1.1Mb on a P4 2.8 1Gb.

Shareaza is giving me on one perticular download over 600 sources and im constantly downloading at an average of 6-10 kb/s?

In the past i have had no problem, im not sure what to do as it is taking sometimes days to weeks to download files?

I have confirmed that both my cmd ip address and web ip address are the same and i have deactivated the firewall to find there is still no change?

If anyone can or wouldnt mind offering a helping hand i will most appreciated it,

im not too sure about shareaza but you could try checking you internet speed just google "internet speed "just too see if its your side off things

Shareaza connects to a different number of networks, and each network will give you different speed results, no matter the speed at which you connect.

For instance, if you connect to edonkey, then the download speed is proportionate to your total upload speed. Your firewall/router configuration also effects your upload/download speed. If your firewall is off (never a good thing, always keep a firewall on and configure ports accordingly) but you still have a router, look up an in-depth guide to configure the firewall/router precisely to the program you are using. Google is always a good starting point ( "Shareaza ports" )

good advise guys... But why wouldn't you mooove on to BIttorrent or NewsGroups.. I can get 500 - 600 kb/s with torrent and even more with NewsGroups. Like Indo said your firewall may be interfering. If ya check like comrvf and indo said, then How to (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=speed+up+shareaza&btnG=Google+Search) is good for google..

just click and download.. no sharing or bullshit. everything is there by album artist and track

everything else = uTorrent

That one is legal too... It catalogs all thee free downloads on myspace..
