Is your card a video capture card or does it just have a video out port? If the former is the case, your card should have come with software allowing you to extract video from your vidcam (probably as an mpg-1). After that you can use a burning program like Nero to make yourself a VCD or just leave the file on your harddrive.

To check what video card you have, right click the desktop, go to properties, and to settings, and if you click on 'advanced' that will tell you more stuff. Also, this may not be neccessary, but if it's a ge force 4 (which is an Nvidia card) you should probably get the latest detonator drivers for it at Nvidia.com. I think the latest detonator driver version is 45.23.

you can get the latest drivers for your nvidia card at:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

you might want to do a little searching on the site though..because you need to have a VIDEO CAPTURE card..as opposed to a regular video card.

Video capture cards run about 20-60 dollars.

if you have a videocapture card you should be able to visit the mnfr website and download their video capture software.
