Nope - need to get back into PS, but it is SO complicated now.

I prefer the older versions, they were easier to use.

Yes I used it quite a bit but I went back to 7 when I reformatted just because it was handy at the time. I did several tutorials with PSCS though :)

Is it somewhat the same, pretty much the same as 7?

Sure you don't need these - but others might. A tutorial (http://www.Good-Tutorials.com) which claims to have "10496 Photoshop tutorials" - there must be something there for everyone!

and this one on the forum (http://www.unitethecows.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=175#top) from a few years ago

MM, there are very similar, however the newer version of course has things that 7 doesn't. That being said, once a person gets experienced enough with any program they can manipulate the older program to do the same things as the newer.

They are basically the same, with (as said) some more functionality. Saying that, I haven't got around to trying out any of the new stuff in it yet...

Agreed, Carrie

but if you do not have exerience with PS the learning curve is VERY steep as there is so much you can do with it.

I have a Graphic artist friend who is still using verion 4.0 as it does everything he needs and more. For your average user, later versions are way too complicated.MM, there are very similar, however the newer version of course has things that 7 doesn't. I was thinking about making several big tutorials but I just can't seem to find the time to really get deep into them. I will try to work a little bit at a time and eventually get them done and posted LOL

That is extremely true riscy. I know people who have been using 7 for years and still can't figure many things out. Photoshop is most definately NOT a beginners program unless you are willing to read many many tutorials.
