Ok, those subscription music services ain't available in moi country ( India ), so me surviving on free legal streaming material on the web, which though legal, don't have much choice in selection n the quality is just pathetic.
Now, I saw my friend downloading some songs with Ares, and when he logged in to the control panel, it showed he was sharing 0 files because he hadn't put any files into his shared folder.
Now I gave heard that the RIAA only warns n sues people who share more than 1000 songs, what happens to a guy who just downloads but doesn't share? What happens in other countries within the RIAA's jurisdiction in such cases?

Is it even possible for the RIAA to take action in countries other than the US? I have heard of some international arrests taking place.

And why aren't the music subscription services like real rhapsody n napster not available in countries other than the US? I am willing to pay for em.
P.S - Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, me new.
