I was wondering if someone could tell me a good , free program, one that does not leave a watermark , for changing mpeg videos to avi to vcd , so I can burn them onto cd and play on my dvd player?

I posted this in the wrong forum before this.

mpeg= vcd....

do you mean mpeg4 or mpeg 2?

if you mean mpeg4 : "register" tmpeg (PM ME)

if you mean mpeg2, searhc google for the vcd header trick and try that.

I think he has cinema craft encoder trial which I believe leaves a watermark on the movie every 30 seconds.try Tempgenc get it here (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail.php3?fid=976299793).The mpg 1 encoding is free the mpg 2 requires you to register the version.I use vcd most of the time b/c my dvd player doesn't support svcd.

hope i helped

I'm not sure if they are mpeg 2 or mpeg 4. I have clicked on a file and checked properties but it does not say what kind of mpeg file it is. I got so many videos that are mpeg that it would be nice to convert them to a format that I can play on my DVD player. I do know that it can play VCD.

well, you have to figure out what type they are, because vcd is mpeg1.

Also, CCE when bought is much superior to TMPEG so consider "buying" it
