I dont want to sound sexist here, but I just have to know. What is it with women and picking out the color to paint a room? My wife has been going through color strips for 2 days now. She asked for my opinion (thats sort of like one of those do you think Im fat questions). All I want to do is get the hallway painted.

Women notoriously pick out the colors that sound the most feminine. Example: 'Eggshell-Frappuccino-Lilac' (try askin' for that one at Home Depot.) For all us manly men, we use one color: ultra-pure white.

To be honest its because women like to be in a comfortable place all the time. Most women do not like the color white because it either means alot of cleaning or something to do w/ medical facilities LOL.
As for myself I dont go all GIRLY in my paint names tyVm! :P

Mrs. rasta is always at the bottom of the chips, the real light pastels, beige is fine with her.
Me, I'm all the way at the top. Bold, vibrant, solid colors.
Guess thats why the house is all wood paneled................

Periwinkle? Is that another name for PINK???????
Oh, man. My condolences. Mrs. rasta is definately not a frilly, flowery, girly girl. I like flowers and stuff, but she won't have it. Of course thats not an argument I want to have in a department store, so we stick to patterns and solids.....LOL

Sorry Shades it's gotta be brown. Ultra-white makes you do that "BLINK" first thing in the morning after an all- nighter and gives you one of those brain freeze headaches. Brown, no fuss, no muss, no cleaning (Real men don't clean).Of course my wife would disagree....Gotta go, she's callin' for me to take my daily wuppin'

Okay, none of you are allowed within a radius of 400 yards of my ultra-pure white (Behr acrylic flat) painted walls, that I painted with my own two hands (you should have seen the colors the previous owners painted it, you all would have loved it.)

My house is mostly white. I depend on the colors of my Boarder to add color to the room. I can take to much wall color cuz everything around the walls and on the walls have color!

ok, we're talking about paint here...no one has been through more than my dad. My parents are BUILDING a house...therefore, mom gets to pick out not only the paint but tile, counter tops, bathtubs, carpets, the whole nine yards. We have had little samples of countertops taped to our current counter tops in all differents varieties of colors and styles and combinations. and EVERY DAY she asks my father and me "which one do you like best?" it gets old after about 3 days.
