So, I was sitting around today, and I got to thinkin, and this popped out for some reason...It might make a bit more sense for me to say that I am having a hard time making enough money to live off of...


"Heh."

I told my room mate
that my job
wasn't going to be enough.

He said
"That sucks."

I got up this morning
hoping to work,
but nothing was available.

I said
"That sucks."

So I sat around, and
did a bunch of nothing.
Cause that's what I do.

And its true,
"That sucks."

And then my room mate
came home, and told me
he was accepted to medical school.

And I said to him
"That sucks."

Heh.

I missed the point more
When I tried harder,
But can't win when not.
I've been told to fight.

Smile, it still exists
Just when
You thought it was gone, and doomed

I don't think I ever liked it before but

Bounce around like a god damned
rubber ball cause I think its cool
Try is a word.
Hope is a word.
If you close your
eyes and wonder,
Does everything remain?
Smile, it still exists.

Cause I love it.
Hope is just a word.
But at least I know that word.

I remember once, when my friend
told me to stop.
I told him to fuck off.
I was wrong.
Course,
That was some time ago.
And even though it happened the way it did.
Even though I've been hurt before,
Even though people have been hurt before
I'll fall again.
Cut my knee and
Bleed.
But what?
Close my eyes and its still there?
I can feel it.
Press my finger into the flesh and burn
the skin stings with the touch
of it.
But close your eyes.
Hope is just a word,
But I know it.
And the cut is gone.
Push harder, and scream in pain.
Fuck the wound.
I'll fall again.
And smile because I know that
It still exists.
