Aww Math, just say anything. I say way too much, that was how I got a rant and rave soapbox smilie : sepia : :sepia:. I'm sure I have said way more than lots of people even care to hear.

A writer, a brooding silent type, or the effusive party man that secretly takes notes about his friends?

The silent ones are the most interesting I think. A bit of mystery is a strong aphrodisiac dear.

How come Nilly gets images/

And I'm not breeding at all. I had one boy, one girl, and 3 husbands (I bore easily.........), so I have kept my corner of the population explosion down. I figue with all that, I could have had maybe somewhere between 3 and 6. Since two of the husbands are gay and the other deceased, yeah, no baby's over here.

I really hate bruises and such...especially on my legs. I have got like 50 bruises on my legs now...........between falling in my yard the other day and almost creaming the side of my car with my face....and then dropping a shopping cart on my ankle,foot....my legs look like hell....... /me cries like a bitch.

mathmission
06-25-2005, 10:38 AM
I think I'm more of the silent type that takes notes, though they are all mental notes, I rarely can write things down. I have about a million little notebooks that I have with me, and I used to buy them as if it was some sort of OCD thing, but rarely can I use them. But certainly...silent type at the party, which is strange. I end up just watching everyone, as well as hanging out.

The only exception to that is when I have screwdrivers--my vice.

I'm surprised that you didn't know a Brian until now. It's a fairly common name. However, its sometimes spelled it's older way (Bryan) or even the old english way (Bryon-derived from Byron) Either way, Brian is the best way...at least I think so!

Click Here To Take The Test (http://web.tickle.com/tests/uiq/authorize/register.jsp?url=/tests/uiq/index-pop.jsp)

Please pay attention to the following:

1) Before you can take the test, you have to create a free account. In order to do so you must provide Tickle.com with your E-mail adress and answer a few questions about your sex, education, marital status and place of residence.

2) The site is add supported, which means that from time to time you will encounter adds mostly about books and student loans. You can bypass this pop ups by either closing the window manually (clicking on X) or clicking on the "just take me to..." button (where available)

3) After the end of the test you will be presented with the "Free" report ( Just your IQ and a couple of comments). If you feel like it, you will be given the option to purchase the "31-page Super IQ Report" report (An in depth analysis of the way you percieve things, personal traits etc)

If you do not agree with one or more of the above then please do not take the test!!!

Stylianos, your Super IQ score is 120

Your overall intelligence quotient is the result of a scientifically-tested formula based on how many questions you answered correctly. But it's only part of what we learned about you from your answers on the test. We also determined the way you process information.

The way you think about things makes you a Complex Intellectual. This means you are highly intelligent and have extraordinarily strong verbal and math skills. Compared to others you are a highly conceptual and complex thinker and are able to understand information in an abstract form. You also show great attention to detail. In fact, it's hard to find something you're not good at.

How did we determine that your thinking style is that of a Complex Intellectual? When we examined your test results further, we analyzed how you scored on 8 dimensions of intelligence: spatial, organizational, abstract reasoning, logical, mechanical, verbal, visual and numerical. The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you a Complex Intellectual. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

Find out which 3 intelligence dimensions you scored the highest on and how your IQ score compares to others in your personalized, 31-page Super IQ Report. It's ready right now!

According to the Passion to Profit Personality Test, your dominant Passion-Type is
Informer.

NOTE: Check your scores below to determine
in which other Inspirer-types you scored highly.
Here are your Inspirer Personality Test scores:

Exciter-----(2) ----- 5 %
Competitor -----(3)----- 7 %
Informer-----(23) ----- 57 %
Supporter-----(12)----- 30 %

TOTAL QUESTIONS ANSWERED: 40

Results:
Purpose: "GURU"
Personality type: "Informer"
(Comparable Enneagram Types 1 and 5.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What It Means to be an Informer:
According to the test results, you have a high degree of "Informer" in your personality/behavior type. Here are some insights into the patterns and personality of The Informer.

The Informer's Prime Directive
Recognizing the Informer
What moves the Informer to action
How the Informer Inspires others
How to be a better Informer
Where Informers Find Passion
Can An Informer Turn Passion Into Profit?
Informers in Love

The Informer's Prime Directive:
Informers are inspired by information, understanding, ideas, facts, data and knowledge.

Recognizing the Informer
Informers are conservative in both nature and dress and tend to be conformists. They tend to pride themselves on their intelligence and are quite analytical in their approach to life, people and situations. They have little tolerance for people who are ignorant or ill-informed. They value being right over being popular.

What Moves The Informer To Action
To inspire an Informer, use words like "smart", "information", "facts", "documentation", "proven", "absolute certainty", and "intelligence." If you're speaking to an informer, you've got to be certain of what you're saying from a factual standpoint and accurate in your statement of figures and statistics. Informers respect and are inspired by intelligence in others.

To get an Informer to take action in the face of fear, reframe the necessary action as one that will lead to information, knowledge or certainty.

How Informers Inspire Others
Informers project and image of being calm, collected and in absolute control. Many people see strength in the Inspirer's ability to stay emotionally detached others around are losing their heads. Informers are confident when they speak since they rarely speak on matters on which they are uncertain. They are usually well-spoken and inspire others with their eloquence and command of the language. When an Inspirer gets involved in a business venture or an organization, they are the ones who know exactly what's going on at all times. They are the ones who others come to for information and insight.

How to Be A Better Informer
Informers, however, can tend to be aloof, detached and intellectual rather than intuitive in their approach to life. They tend to be extremely task oriented individuals who put the project ahead of the people. Therefore, Informers need to get in touch with their feelings, and the feelings of others if they are to grow and be successful. They need to be more people-oriented in their interactions and embrace confrontation (which they often see as conflict) as a means to achieve understanding and growth in relationships.

Where Informers Find Passion
Informers do better in professions and positions which reward knowledge, detail and accuracy. Informers make great accountants, engineers, computer programmers, bankers and statisticians. They tend not to do well in jobs or businesses which require people skills. However, because anything one does can be improved by knowing how to relate to others, Inspirers can succeed in any profession if they develop their interpersonal skills. Informers think in terms of the value of information. The information, order, analysis, perfection and attention to detail that characterizes them can itself be of value to others who seek these qualities in their own lives. The Informer?s passion can offer ways for people to add knowledge and order to their lives.

Can Informers Turn Passion Into Profit?
If you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and willing to do what it takes to achieve a balance in your life, it is ultimately possible for any of the personality types to turn passion into profit.

Because they tend to value process more than people, and tend to be more task-oriented than relationship-oriented, informers may miss out on the profit and success that comes from being more intuitive in their approach to success, and in reaching out to others as valued contributors. The key to real success for you as an Informer while on the journey from passion to profit will be to "remember that your good comes through people, value your intuition and remember people won't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." (Take a tip from Walt's Friday Inspiration #167: "Still Keeping Score")

Informers in Love
In love, just as in business, Informers tend to be attracted to Exciters because they express the fun side, spontaneity and freedom that Informers have always wanted to feel. However, while there may be an attraction, the Informer is often frustrated by the Exciter's often chronic lateness, inaccuracy, and nonchalant attitude towards life. Informers get along well with Supporters since they both take life at a slower pace.

This is just the beginning! Discover more about yourself and what you'll need to do to succeed within the pages of How To Turn Your Passion Into Profit

Dear Pegasus

Your eating personality is Convenient Diner
Your exercising personality is Rain Check Athlete
Your coping personality is Self Scrutinizer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Convenient Diner Convenient Diners eat foods that are wrapped, boxed, bagged, microwaved or ordered off of a menu. This grab-and-go eating pattern fits your on-the-go lifestyle. You choose convenient foods that also are higher in calories, fat and sodium and lower in fiber than fresh foods cooked at home. Your diet is high in convenience but low in quality and variety.

Rain Check Athlete Rain Check Athletes are busy people who would like to work out if they only had the time. You're tired of canceling workout dates and accumulating more rain checks. You're frustrated because exercise is important to you but you just don't know how to fit it in. The most exercise you've had lately is running to catch a bus while holding your umbrella. Does carrying an umbrella count as resistance training?

Self Scrutinizer Self Scrutinizers overemphasize the things they don't like about themselves and underemphasize the good stuff. You feel ashamed of your body which impairs your feelings of self-worth and your social life. You know being so down all the time isn't a good thing but you're not sure how to stop the negative self-talk that keeps you there.

Well, I was sitting here, messing around, and a bit of writing came out. Though, I'm pretty sure Im not going to use it, but I thought that I would go ahead and share. This is a failed attempt for the start of the next part of the story.

Untitled Part 2

The seat beneath me rumbled as the subway train
made its way down the dark tunnel. I had been
sitting there for over an hour. Still thinking
about Klara, I wondered if I would see her again.
The window revealed passing concrete and nearly
empty boarding platforms. Every face of the men
and women boarding seemed to be without emotion.
Had they all seen what I had just witnessed?
In to the train they would come, sit down, and just
stare forward into what seemed to be a never-ending
tunnel.

I had chosen a window seat. Not because I wanted
to look out; there was nothing out there for
me but passing walls, all of which I had seen
for years. I had chosen a window seat because
I wanted to be able to lean against it, and
focus on the people inside the small train car.

Row after row, empty seats filled the car. Just
hours before, this very car had been filled
with men and women all rushing home. Meals needed
to be cooked, husbands needed to be kissed, and
children needed help with their homework.

Of course, I had nowhere to be. No wide, no kids,
no dog to walk, and no meal to make. My destination
was the end of the line. After that, where ever.

The train emerged from its underground tunnel,
exposing the train to the rain outside. The
windows filled with the small spots of rain water.
The passengers of this car all kept their
solid gazes forward. A small smirk found its
way to my lips.

Ok, scratch the Untitled bullshit. I spent some time when everyone had gone, and actually wrote the second 'chapter' to this novel. It's much shorter, and should be seen as a transitional piece. Either way, enjoy. My take on it...not a lot of story being told, but a bit of atmosphere. I call it, Behind the Bench

"Behind the Bench"

I wiped my eyes. The water had been dripping
down the side of my face, tickling my cheeks
for the past hour. It was dark out, lit only
occasionally by the flashes from the sky. The
storm had not yet ended. At least, not tonight’s.

The rain was falling much lighter now, but still
enough to force me to find shelter. I had been
walking down Hacknen St. It was famous, in my
books, for its many restaurants, and overhangs.

The water fell from the sky, and tapped on the
plastic, and fabric overhangs. So many nights
I had walked this street; the sound was very
familiar. It reminded me of things I’ve never
seen, and people I’ve never met. People in dresses,
and smiles of pain. It was a world realized
in the dreams of one, and seen in the eyes
of others. I walked the sidewalk, buildings of
stone to my left, and falling water to my right.

I imagined the people I dream of, walking these
paths, stopping at glass windows and peering
in. Walking in step with loved ones, arms wrapped
around the small of each others’ back,
while talking of the small things they wish
they had. People wearing dark shoes
and shirts neatly designed for the season’s
weather. Their sights on all the nooks of this
small street, and yet only glancing for the
shortest of moments on the most abundant thing
around them: each other.

I took a seat on a bench facing on of my favorite
shops. It was Flinn’s, a locally owned
clothing store. I remembered the first time
that I had visited this town. There was one
of the most beautiful dresses I had ever
seen, hanging alone in the front window. With-
out arms, and a close fit around the waist, it
reminded me of events just an hour ago. Dry
though, this one was, and alone in the window
for all to see. Perhaps it stayed in that window
for years; maybe it sold only moments after I had
left town. Either way, it was no longer in the
window in front of me.

It was then that the thought of Klara had
returned to me. I was glad that it did. No longer
alone.

The first thing I could remember of her was
the look on her face as she turned to me. Why
had it taken so long for her to see that unlike
most, I could see her life, and cared for the
direction it was headed? It was a question I
was willing to ignore, but only because it had
finally happened. She had seen me. I could only
imagine the pain she must have felt, standing at the resting
place of her daughter. I wished I too could have
felt that pain. She would be that much more real
to me. But her hands touching me was all the
proof that I needed.

And the tapping of the rain continued, reminding me
of our walk to the cemetery. Across the roads
and concrete paths, the rain fell from the sky
and clicked like black shoes on pavement.

But it had all seemed like such a dream, that
I had trouble seeing her in my mind. The dress
though, I could clearly remember the dress. Blowing
in the wind, and brushing up against my leg.
It seemed years had passed. Lights turning red,
flowers in the corner, holding a shoe. Years,
and yet mere minutes. But then again, so was the
feeling for all my memories. Years, but merely
minutes. In the distance, I thought I saw someone
cross the street. The rain continued to fall.

And then I felt it, on the back of my neck. Like
silk tickling the hairs standing on end.
I spun around, hoping it was her; so many questions
I wished to ask her. So many shared words and silent
moments.

The street was empty. On the facing sidewalk
huddled under Times (a watch repair shop) was
a small cat, trying to stay dry. Perhaps, I
thought, it was time to continue my walk. Merely minutes, I told myself.
