Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) - A bipartisan group of senators is pushing legislation that would force the CIA to release an inspector general's report on the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The CIA has spent more than 20 months weighing requests under the Freedom of Information Act for its internal investigation of the attacks but has yet to release any portion of it.
The agency is the only federal office involved in counterterrorism operations that has not made at least a version of its internal 9/11 investigation public.
Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and two other intelligence committee leaders - chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., and senior Republican Kit Bond of Missouri - are pushing legislation that would require the agency to declassify the executive summary of the review within one month and submit a report to Congress explaining why any material was withheld.
The provision has been approved by the Senate twice, but never made into law.
In an interview, Wyden said he is also considering whether to link the report's release to his acceptance of President Bush's nominations for national security positions.
``It's amazing the efforts the administration is going to stonewall this,'' Wyden said. ``The American people have a right to know what the Central Intelligence Agency was doing in those critical months before 9/11.... I am going to bulldog this until the public gets it.''
Completed in June 2005, the inspector general's report examined the personal responsibility of individuals at the CIA before and after the attacks. Other agencies' reviews examined structural problems within their organizations.
Wyden, who has read the classified report several times, wouldn't offer any details on its findings or the conversations he has had with CIA Director Michael Hayden, former CIA Director Porter Goss and former National Intelligence Director John Negroponte.
But he did say that protecting individuals from embarrassment is not a legitimate reason for protecting the report's contents from public review. He also said the decision to classify the report has nothing to do with national security, but rather political security.
Hayden declined to be interviewed about the report. In a statement Thursday, his spokesman Mark Mansfield said the CIA director wants the agency to learn from any past mistakes, but doesn't want to dwell on them.
``Given the formidable national security challenges our nation faces, now and down the road, General Hayden believes it is essential for the Agency to move forward,'' Mansfield said. ``That's where our emphasis needs to be.''
The agency's actions prior to Sept. 11 have gotten renewed attention with the release of a memoir by former CIA director George Tenet. He has been criticized for not doing more to warn Bush about the al-Qaida threat.
In interviews about his memoir, he has said instead he worked the bureaucracy beneath the president by asking then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice and others for action.
Bond said some intelligence officials have dismissed the inspector general's report as ``ancient history,'' which he doesn't accept. He said the report has additional information which would be useful to the public.
``We have no desire to embarrass or throw cold water on the enthusiasm of the great men and women of the CIA, but let's just take a clear and open look at what the IG found and see if we have all of those problems corrected,'' Bond said.
In an October 2005 statement Goss said the officers involved in counterterrorism were ``stars who had excelled in their areas'' singled out by the CIA to take on difficult assignments. ``Unfortunately, time and resources were not on their side, despite their best efforts to meet unprecedented challenges,'' he said.
Goss rejected a recommendation from CIA Inspector General John Helgerson that the agency form accountability review boards to examine any personal culpability. Bond said that move was regrettable.
In his statement, Goss also noted that the agency had received a Freedom of Information Act request for the report, and that a review process was ongoing. But the CIA has not released any documents to The Associated Press or other organizations that began requesting the information at least 20 months ago.
The law requires agencies to respond to requests within 20 days, but officials rarely meet those deadlines and often blame lengthy backlogs.
Groups including the National Security Archive have clashed with the agency over its FOIA policies. Last year, the archive gave the CIA its prize for the agency with the worst FOIA record. Called the ``Rosemary Award,'' it's named after President Nixon's secretary, Rosemary Woods, who erased 18 minutes of a key Watergate conversation on the White House tapes.
The citation noted that CIA's oldest FOIA requests could apply for drivers' licenses in most states. ``CIA has for three decades been one of the worst FOIA agencies,'' archive Director Thomas Blanton said this week.
Many of the individuals highlighted in the inspector general's report are likely to have retired. But some are believed still to be in senior government positions, making the report's findings even more sensitive at the CIA and perhaps elsewhere within the intelligence community.
The AP has reported that the two-year review of what went wrong before the suicide hijackings harshly criticized a number of the agency's most senior officials.
That includes Tenet, former clandestine service chief Jim Pavitt and former counterterrorism center head Cofer Black, according to individuals familiar with the report, who spoke in 2005 on condition they not be identified.
Yet the report also offered some praise for actions of Tenet and others.
Pavitt is now a principal with The Scowcroft Group, an international business advisory firm, and Black is vice chairman of Blackwater USA, an international security firm whose clients include the CIA and other U.S. agencies.

WASHINGTON, May 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --
The immigration bill unveiled yesterday by the Senate, which would grant amnesty to virtually every illegal alien in the country, plus an unknown number of their relatives, amounts to a complete sell-out of the interests of the American public, declared the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). The Senate bill, S. 1348, includes immediate and irrevocable benefits for tens of millions of illegal aliens, access to low-wage foreign labor for business interests, and nothing but more worthless promises to the American public that the government would enforce immigration laws in the future.
S. 1348, which the Senate is expected to vote on as early as Monday, was hammered out behind closed doors, bypassing the hearings process or any assessment of the fiscal, labor market or environmental impact. The bill would grant amnesty to nearly every illegal alien in the United States as well as children and elderly parents who may be residing outside the country. Within 24 hours of filing an application, illegal aliens would be granted work authorization and relief from possible deportation, without any background checks. In addition, the legislation calls for the admission of 400,000 additional "guest workers" plus their dependent family members each year, some of whom will be permitted to remain permanently.
"In agreeing to this bill, the United States Senate has broken every promise that has been made to the American people," charged Dan Stein, president of FAIR. "The bill reneges on promises that amnesty would never again be offered to people who are in this country illegally; it violates commitments that Congress has made to protect the interests of American workers; and it compromises the security of this nation by granting legal status to people who may pose a threat to the nation. Adding to the betrayal, this surrender of the public interest was negotiated by senators who had personally pledged, as recently as last year, never to agree to any bill that includes amnesty."
The provisions of the bill that call for tougher immigration enforcement in the future were described by FAIR as "worthless and an insult to the intelligence of the American public." The 2007 version of immigration reform contains the identical set of promises to secure the borders, establish a verifiable worker identification system, and enact penalties for employers who hire illegal aliens that Congress and successive administrations have made and broken countless times over the past 20 years.
"The security and enforcement provisions are less than meaningless. They will either not be funded, endlessly delayed, or ignored all together," Stein declared. "While tens of millions of illegal aliens will reap rewards and enjoy access to the courts to appeal any denial of benefits, the American public gets shafted with no avenue for appeal."
FAIR is calling upon the Senate to delay voting on S. 1348 until the bill receives a full public hearing, and until a thorough study of its impact is completed. "This is a bill that will quite literally affect the future of this nation. Its ramifications deserve more than a weekend's review on the part of the people who will vote on it," said Stein.

Amnesty Opens Door For Foreign Occupation Of U.S.
The Senate is on the verge of passing a bill that has been written in secret and has not even be read which provides total amnesty for 12 million (if you are to believe official figures) illegal aliens already inside the US, allows them to bring in their entire families from outside and ultimately paves the way for foreign occupation of the United States.

LONDON (AFP) - Internet censorship is growing worldwide, with 26 out of 40 countries blocking or filtering political or social content, a study reported Friday.
The survey carried out by experts at four leading universities found that people in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa were often denied access to information about politics, sexuality, culture or religion.
Conducting the first of what is planned to become an annual survey, the experts at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Toronto found that the approach varied according to the country.
For example, South Korea heavily censored only one topic, North Korea, while Iran, China and Saudi Arabia blocked both a wide range of topics and a great deal of content related to those topics.
The experts with the OpenNet Initiative, who carried out their research last year, listed six countries as "pervasive" filterers of political information: Myanmar, China, Iran, Syria, Tunisia and Vietnam.
They categorized seven countries, all of them Muslim, as "pervasive" social filterers: Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
Topics blocked are those considered antithetical to social norms, such as pornography, gay and lesbian content, and gambling.
Social filtering also was carried out by countries like France and Germany, where websites that deny the Holocaust or promote Nazism are blocked.
The survey found that Myanmar, China, Iran, Pakistan and South Korea have the "most encompassing national security filtering," targeting the websites of insurgents, extremists, and terrorists.
"The survey shows us that online censorship is growing around the world," said John Palfrey, executive director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and clinical professor of law at Harvard Law School.
"Some regulation is to be expected as the medium matures, but filtering and surveillance can seriously erode civil liberties and privacy and stifle global communications," he added in a statement.
However, the survey found that a handful of countries where Internet filtering might be expected -- such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Malaysia, Nepal, Russia, Venezuela and Zimbabwe -- were found not to filter.
The survey said that Internet filtering techniques have evolved with the growing complexity of content.
"Instead of just blocking static Web sites, such as pages online that show pornographic pictures or information about human rights, online censors are blocking entire applications, such as YouTube," it added.
Other applications that are often targeted are internet telephony service Skype and Google Maps. Still others are blogs, political parties and local non-government organisations.
"In the case of blogs, a number of countries, including Pakistan and Ethiopia, have blocked entire blogging domains," it said.
The survey said the United States and European countries did not come in for testing, as the filtering practices were better understood than in other parts of the world.
The survey marked "the first step towards a comprehensive global assessment of Internet filtering practices," said Oxford University professor Jonathan Zittrain, who expects to find more countries that filter the Internet as testing is expanded.

GM Crops Breeding With
Many Plants In The Wild
12-29-2
Alarming new results from official trials of GM crops are severely jeopardising Government plans for growing them commercially in Britain.
The results, in a new Government report, show - for the first time in Britain - that genes from GM crops are interbreeding on a large scale with conventional ones, and also with weeds.
The report is so devastating to the Government's case for GM crops that ministers last week sought to bury it by slipping the first information on it out on the website of the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) on Christmas Eve, the one day in the year when no newspapers are being prepared.
Even then, the department published only a heavily edited summary of the main report. Unusually, the full report, which will contain much more devastating detail, was withheld from publication on the website. Defra said it was available on request, but when The Independent on Sunday tried to ask for it last week, the department said no one was available to provide it.
The report, the result of six years of monitoring of GM crops in Britain, is particularly politically explosive and it gives the first results from the official farm-scale trials, which ministers have been running to test the suitability of growing GM crops in Britain.
The Government has repeatedly said that the results of the trials would settle the question of whether GM crops endangered the environment but - perhaps because it knew what the research had found - it has been downplaying their significance in recent weeks.
The trials - originally set up to buy time in the face of strong public hostility to the crops - were not designed to look at the possibility of genes from GM crops contaminating nearby plants, but focusedon the effects of different uses of pesticides on GM and non-GM plants. But, after this was criticised, studies of this "gene flow'' were bolted on.
The report covers true studies carried out between 1994 and 2000 by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany and the Laboratory of the Government Chemist. It shows that genes from GM oil seed rape, specially engineered to be resistant to herbicides, contaminated con- ventional crops as far as 200 yards away.
Equally alarmingly, GM oil seed rape that escaped from a crop harvested in 1996 persisted for at least four years, until studies ended in 2000.
In another case, the report adds: "It was found that some combine harvesters were not cleaned after the harvesting of the GM crop,'' and "subsequently flushed out'' the GM seed on to ground intended for conventional crops "causing contamination of this field.''
Most worryingly of all, the report shows that the GM crop readily interbred with a weed, wild turnip, giving it resistance to herbicides and thus raising the prospect of the development of "super weeds".
The report concludes that the research "indicates that commercial-scale releases of GM oil seed rape in future could pollinate other crops and wild turnip''.
Other studies from elsewhere in the world have shown that interbreeding occurs, and English Nature, the Government's wildlife watchdog, has said super weeds will "inevitably'' emerge in Britain if GM crops are grown commercially.
In a commentary also published by Defra on Christmas Eve, the official advisory committee on releases to the environment said that the contamination was "entirely within expectations''.
The committee added that "in itself'' gene flow did not constitute a risk to the environment. But Pete Riley of Friends of the Earth said the results showed that if GM crops became widespread, almost all similar crops would inevitably become contaminated, severely threatening organic agriculture. He added: "It is not surprising that the Government has tried to cover up this report.
"It shows that we need to know a great deal more about these issues before we even contemplate growing GM crops commercially.''

A Fiction story (Sort of)
The names, quotes and places are real - the time is fiction, but just barely so.
By Captain Paul Watson
Report from 2030
We refused to listen to the environmentalists. They were all just doom and gloom Cassandras, always talking down against the corporations, against the government, against science and technology as our means of solving global problems like world hunger and global warming.
We forgot that for all her hysterics, her pessimism and her dire predictions that the Princess prophetess Cassandra of Troy was right in all her predictions. Her father King Priam refused to listen to her and he, his city state, his people and his entire family were destroyed.
The first signs occurred in 2002.
We did not pay attention. We were busy having a good time, preoccupied with music, films, video games, television and sports.
Meanwhile at the University of Jena in Germany, Professor Hans-Heinrich Kaatz had begun his research into finding an answer to what was causing bee populations to dramatically decline.
By 2007 he had his answer. Professor Kaatz had discovered that the gene used to modify oil-rape seed had transferred to bacteria living inside honey bees.
Despite all of the claims by Monsanto, the biotech industry and supporters of genetically modified food, the sober fact was emerging that humans had tampered with something that they could no longer control.
In the spring of 2007, British Agriculture Minister Nick Brown urged British farmers to destroy all crops contaminated with genetically modified seeds. Some 600 farms had mistakenly planted more than 30,000 acres of GM rapeseed supplied by the Anglo-Dutch company Advanta. These seeds were also planted that spring in France, Germany and Sweden. The French and Swedish governments ordered the uprooting of the crops. Brown said at the time that if Kaatz's research was correct that it represented an extremely serious situation.
Meanwhile Monsanto's genetically modified rape seed was going into the ground in Canadian fields and the company had achieved a corporate coup d'etat in Brazil with their soybean monopoly. The company's profits were astronomical. The shareholders were ecstatic.
Monsanto and Advanta and other genetically modified seed companies threw a small army of lawyers into the fray to counter the scientific research with legalistic obstacles. Pseudo scientists like former Greenpeace President Dr. Patrick Moore were paid to praise the benefits of GM foods. Opponents of GM foods were branded as racists for opposing a product that could save millions of starving children in Africa. The public relations firms followed in the footsteps of the lawyers in a campaign to discredit anyone and everyone who spoke out against the Frankenseed.
Professor Kaatz worked at the respected Institute for Bee Research at the University of Jena in Germany. He built nets in a field planted with genetically modified rapeseed produced by AgrEvo. He let the bees fly freely within the net. At the beehives, he installed pollen traps in order to sample the pollen from the bees' hind
legs when entering the hive. This pollen was fed to young honey bees in the laboratory. Pollen is the natural diet of young bees, which need a high protein diet. Kaatz then extracted the intestine of the young bees and discovered that the gene from the GM rape-seed had been transferred in the bee gut to the microbes.
It was noteworthy that honeybees raised on organic plants did not demonstrate any sign of diminishment that the commercial honey bee breeders were experiencing.
In a May 2007 interview with the British newspaper The Observer, Kaatz said, "It is true, I have found the herbicide-resistant genes in the rapeseed transferred across to the bacteria and yeast inside the intestines of young bees. This happened rarely, but it did happen."
Although Kaatz realised the potential 'significance' of his findings, he said he "was not surprised" at the results. Asked if this had implications for the bacteria inside the human gut, he said: "Maybe, but I am not an expert on this."
Dr Mae-Wan Ho, a geneticist who worked at Open University and a critic of GM technology, stated that she had no doubts about the dangers. She said: "These findings are very worrying and provide the first real evidence of what many have feared. Everybody is keen to exploit GM technology, but nobody is looking at the risk of horizontal gene transfer. We are playing about with genetic structures that existed for millions of years and the experiment is running out of control."
Ho warned that one of the gravest concerns was that anti-biotic resistant genes used in some GM crops crossed over to bacteria. "If this happened it would leave us unable to treat major illnesses like meningitis and E coli ."
By August 2007, some scientists became very worried that the same affect that GM seeds were having on bees, as serious as that was, could also affect the bacteria living inside the human digestive system. They warned that if this happened, the potential was there for the human immune system to be seriously damaged, that it could affect digestion and even the ability of blood to clot.
Monsanto descended on Professor Kaatz with a vengeance in a campaign to discredit his scientific credentials and his research methods.
Professor Kaatz was no match for the lawyers, the lobbyists and the politicians. He was discredited and retreated to the halls of academia, another scholar punished for daring to reveal scientific truth in the face of corporate power.
That was twenty three years ago.
Today, I sit here one of the few survivors. A strict organic vegan diet allowed me and a few hundred thousand others to bear witness to the death of human civilization. I wish I could get some satisfaction from saying, "I told them so."
But I can't. It is a sad thing indeed, an experience unthinkable that I would have lived to witness the death of human civilization. The death of billions was horrific. They starved to death when their bodies could no longer digest food, what food was left after the demise of the bees and the extinction of thousands of flowering plants.
Already the cities have begun to rust and crumble. We have to research and analyze every morsel of food we eat just to survive.
Sad to think that we face a world without music and art, without the sweet laughter of children, without hope.
And in the head offices of Monsanto, the stagnant computers rot and files blow across the streets by the heated wind – all their dreams of profit dashed upon the ignorant arrogance of their blind quest for profits.

Background:
About Yeshua of Nazareth: He is commonly referred to as Jesus Christ, although Joshua would be a more accurate translation of his first name. "Christ" is not his last name; it is simply the Greek word for "Messiah," or "anointed one." Theologians have discovered about 50 gospels which were widely used by Jewish, Pauline and Gnostic groups within the early Christian movement. Only four of these were chosen by the surviving group, Pauline Christianity, and were included in the Bible. Those four Gospels describe Jesus as a Jew who was born to a virgin in Palestine circa 4 to 7 BCE. He is portrayed as a rabbi, teacher, healer, exorcist, magician, prophet, and religious leader who had a one year (according to Mark, Matthew and Luke) or a three year (according to John) ministry in Palestine, starting when he was about 30 years old. Most Christians believe that he was executed by the Roman occupying army, visited the underworld, was resurrected, spent 40 days with his disciples, and then ascended to heaven. Most Christian denominations view Jesus as God, and as the Son of God, the second person in the Trinity.

About Horus: Various ancient Egyptian statues and writings tell of Horus, (pronounced "hohr'-uhs;"
a.k.a. Harseisis, Heru-sa-Aset (Horus, son of Isis), Heru-ur (Horus the elder), Hr, and Hrw), a creator sky God. He was worshipped thousands of years before the first century CE -- the time when Jesus was ministering in Palestine. 2 Horus was often represented as a stylized eye symbol, symbolizing the eye of a falcon. He was also presented "in the shape of a sparrow hawk or as a man [or lion] with a hawk's head." 3 He is often shown as an infant cradled by his mother Isis. He was considered to be the son of two major Egyptian deities: the God Osirus and and the Goddess Isis. In adulthood, he avenged his father's murder, and became recognized as the God of civil order and justice. Each of the Egyptian pharaohs were believed to be the living embodiment -- an incarnation -- of Horus.

Stories from the life of Horus had been circulating for centuries before Jesus birth (circa 4 to 7 BCE). If any copying occurred by the writers of the Egyptian or Christian religions, it was the followers of Jesus who incorporated into his biography the myths and legends of Horus, not vice-versa.

The Story of Jesus and Horus is the story of the Sun passing through the Zodiac during the year. Jesus goes on a journey during his ministry. The Sun goes a journey through the Zodiac during the year. The journey of the Sun matches up with the journey Jesus takes during his ministry.
Jesus' ministry is said to last a year. The Sun completes its circuit of the Zodiac in a year.
Jesus is said to have twelve disciples. The year has twelve months. The Zodiac is divided into twelve "houses," representing the twelve divisions of the year (Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius.) There are twelve cycles of the moon in a year. The Jewish calendar is actually a Lunar calendar, with twelve months following the twelve cycles of the moon (Nisan, Iyyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Ab, Elul, Tishri, Cheshvan, Kislev, Tebeth, Shebat, Adar.) Occasionally it is necessary to throw in an extra month, Adar2, to keep the Jewish Lunar calendar in sync with the solar year, just as we occasionally throw in an extra day (Feb. 29) to keep our calendar in sync with the solar year. The prominence of the number 12 is always a strong sign that the story is an astrological allegory for the passage of the year.
The story of Jesus is circular. He originally was said to have been born in a cave1 — the same cave he is placed in at the end of the story when he dies, to be resurrected three days later. The year is circular. A new year begins immediately after the old year ends. On New Years Eve we celebrate the end of the old year, personified as an old man, and the "birth" of the new year, personified as "Baby New Year." We don't actually think "Baby New Year" and "Father Time" are real people, we understand they are just personifications of abstract concepts.
Jesus is said to be resurrected after 3 days in the cave. We celebrate Jesus' birthday on December 25, three days after the Winter Solstice of December 22. The Sun "dies" on December 22, the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. Three days later the Sun rises 1/10 of a degree further North, just barely detectable by carefully observing shadows (I've observed the Sun's shadows and taken measurements and have determined it is possible to determine the position of the Sun to this accuracy). The Sun has been resurrected; a new year has begun.
(Remember in the old days light bulbs didn't exist — the only light was the Sun)
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world." (The "light of the world" is the Sun.)
John 9:5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (The "light of the world" is the Sun.)
Matthew 4:16 The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." (The light is the Sun)
Matthew 17:2 His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
John 1:3-8 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (Without the Sun nothing would grow and we'd all be dead.) In him was life, and that life was the light of men. (The light is the Sun.) The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (the Sun removes the darkness). There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He [John] came as a witness to testify concerning that light (the Sun), so that through him all men might believe. He [John] himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light (the Sun) that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
John 3:19-20 This is the verdict: Light (the Sun) has come into the world, but men loved darkness (night time) instead of light (the Sun) because their deeds were evil (criminals do their crimes at night). Everyone who does evil hates the light (the Sun), and will not come into the light (the Sun) for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
John 12:35-36 Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light (the light is the Sun) just a little while longer (the Sun will set soon). Walk while you have the light (the light is the Sun), before darkness (night time) overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark (at night) does not know where he is going. Put your trust in the light (the light is the Sun)while you have it, so that you may become sons of light." When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them (i.e. the sun set, because Jesus is the Sun).
John 12:46 I have come into the world as a light (the Sun), so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
Ephesians 5:14 Christ (the Sun) will shine on you.
Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven (the celestial sphere above); from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (the Sun). (i.e. we should look upwards to the celestial sphere above to find our story.)
Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Luke 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (i.e. the story is about the passage of the year.)
(By the way the Old Testament also talks about God as being the Sun)
Psalms 84:11 "the Lord God is a sun..."
Deuteronomy 4:24 "For the LORD your God is a consuming fire," (the Sun is a consuming fire.)
Malachi 4:2 "the Sun of Righteousness..."

The journey of Jesus is the journey of the Sun passing through the Zodiac
The Sun passes through Capricorn, the goat (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19) The starting date is December 22, the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, when the Sun is at its lowest ascension. This is the beginning of the Sun's annual journey. By December 25 it becomes apparent the Sun is once again climbing into the sky on it's annual journey — the sun rises slightly farther North and the days begin to get longer. We celebrate the birth of our Savior the Sun who will make the harvest grow so we will have food to eat. Matthew chapter 2. King Herod looks to Bethlehem, the house of bread, Virgo, but Jesus is not there, because Jesus is in Capricorn.
Also Luke chapter 2.
The Sun passes through Aquarius, the Water Bearer (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18). It is the rainy season. The theme is of water. The earth is baptized with the water of the yearly rains. Jesus visits John the Baptist and is baptized with water. John the Baptist is Aquarius, the Water Bearer. John the Baptist (Aquarius) promises us Jesus (the Sun) will give us something better than water. Jesus (the Sun) will give us the harvest of food later on in the year. We need water to stay alive; but more importantly we need food. We can have the water now, but we will have to wait for the food until harvest time. (Matthew chapter 3; Mark chapter 1; Luke chapter 3; John 1:19-28) The Baptism of Rain is always at the beginning of the story, because rain begins the Harvest Cycle.
The Sun passes through Pisces, the Two Fish (Feb. 19 - March 20). This is a good time to go fishing, since it just rained last month there's lots of water around to fish in. There's also no harvest yet, so we'll have to live on fish for now. Jesus visits Simon and his brother Andrew, who are fishermen. Simon and Andrew are personifications of the two fish of Pisces. (Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 1:16;) During this season the faithful Catholics, Episcopalians, and Mahommedans observe Lent, when they abstain from meat and live upon the fishes.2
The Sun passes through Aries, the Ram or Lamb (March 21 - April 19) The starting date is March 21, the Vernal Equinox, when the Sun rises directly in the East. Christians celebrate East-er on the first Sunday after the first full moon after this date. Some ancient calendars place the Vernal Equinox as the beginning of the year. The Astrological Calendar found in Horoscopes in the newspaper always start with Aries, the Vernal Equinox. Spring is when lambs are born. Jesus, the Sun, is now in Aries, and becomes the Lamb of God. (A young sheep is a Lamb, and a male sheep is a Ram.)
The Sun passes through Taurus, the Bull, (April 20 - May 20).
The Sun passes across the Milky Way, that starry band that lies like a lake across the night sky, between Taurus and Gemini (around May 21-June 4). Jesus crosses "the lake". (Mat 8:8; Mark 4:35; Luke 8:22; John 6:16-25;)
The Sun passes through Gemini, the twins Castor and Pollux (May 21 - June 20) Mat. 8:28-34 Jesus heals two demon possessed men. (I bet their names were Castor and Pollux, the names of the two bright stars in Gemini. Also see Acts 28:11)
The Sun passes through Cancer, the Crab that thought to go backwards (June 21 - July 22) The starting date is June 21, the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, when the Sun is at its highest ascension. After this day the Sun does go backwards, beginning it's descent Southward, as the days get shorter and shorter.
The Sun passes through Leo, the Lion (July 23 - Aug. 22), for the strong hot days of summer. Mat. 9:9 Jesus (the Sun) visits "a man named Matthew" (the star Regulus). [See Why Regulus is Matthew (Devil's Pulpit Sermon by Robert Taylor).] This occurs around July 27, a few days into Leo.
Some days later, Around 8/1-8/21, Aquarius rises in the West at sunset and appears to be beheaded by the horizon. This is allegorized as John the Baptist (Aquarius) being raised from the dead and being beheaded. (Mat. 14:1-12; Mark 6:14-29; Luke 9:7-9)
Afterwards comes Jesus' transfiguration (Mat. 17:1-13, Mark 9:2-13, Luke 9:28-36). Jesus goes to a high mountain top and shines brightly, just as the Sun is high in the sky and shines warmly and brightly during the Summer months.
[Mat. 14:34 "when they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. Constellation Lyra? next to milky way? above scales of justice?]
The Sun passes through Virgo the eternal Virgin of the Harvest (Aug. 23 - Sep. 22). It's finally Harvest time! Jesus (the Sun) makes his triumphant entry into Jerusalem (the Zodiac house of Virgo, the Virgin). Everyone is happy, because it's Harvest time! (Matthew chapter 21; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; John 12:12-19)
The Sun passes through Libra, the Scales of justice, when farmers sell the harvest (Sep. 23 - Oct. 23). The starting date is September 23, the Autumnal Equinox, the beginning of Autumn. On this day the Sun once again rises directly in the East and sets directly in the West. The day and night are once again of equal length. But darker days lie ahead. The days (good) will continue to get shorter and shorter, as night (bad) gets longer and longer. Matthew 21:12-17 Jesus drives out the moneychangers and overturns their tables. (Actually they just leave after the harvest is sold, having completed their business.)
"The Lord's Supper (or Last Supper)." (Mark 14:12-26; Luke 22:7-38) We all get together and eat the harvest, the flesh of the fruit, the blood of the grape, and give thanks to the Sun for providing us the harvest.
The Sun passes through Scorpio, the Scorpion, which figuratively stings and kills the Sun, causing it to slowly die, as the days are getting shorter, starting October 24. Jesus curses the Fig Tree and it Withers (Mat. 21:18-22; Mark 11:20-21; Luke 26:17-30). Actually all the trees loose their leaves at this time of year because it is Autumn. That's what trees naturally do during this time of year.
Judas betrays Jesus. The name Judas, literally means "disabled in the limbs, maimed, crippled," (see Strong's Number [2455]) The Scorpion disables with its sting. Judas is a personification of Scorpio.
The Sun passes through Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21). Sagittarius is a man on horse holding a bow and arrow. He is the archer. He is a hunter. This is a good season to go hunting. Jesus goes before Pontius Pilate (ποντιοσ πιλατοσ). (Matthew 27:2) Pontius literally means "of the sea" i.e. the sea of stars above (Strong's Number [4194]) and Pilate literally means "armed with a spear" (Strong's Number [4091]). Sagittarius, the archer, is the man armed with a spear. Pontius Pilate is a personification of Sagittarius, the last person Jesus sees in the story, and the last Zodiac sign the sun travels through.

WHAT ARE PROTEINS?
Proteins are necklaces of amino acids --- long chain molecules. Proteins are the basis of how biology gets things done. As enzymes, they are the driving force behind all of the biochemical reactions which make biology work. As structural elements, they are the main constituent of our bones, muscles, hair, skin and blood vessels. As antibodies, they recognize invading elements and allow the immune system to get rid of the unwanted invaders. For these reasons, scientists have sequenced the human genome -- the blueprint for all of the proteins in biology -- but how can we understand what these proteins do and how they work?
RELATIONSHIP TO THE HUMAN GENOME PROJECT
Since proteins play such fundamental roles in biology, scientists have sequenced the human genome. The genome is in a sense a "blueprint" for these proteins -- the genome contains the DNA code which specifies the sequence of the amino acids beads along the protein "necklace."
WHY DO PROTEINS "FOLD"?
However, only knowing this sequence tells us little about what the protein does and how it does it. In order to carry out their function (eg as enzymes or antibodies), they must take on a particular shape, also known as a "fold." Thus, proteins are truly amazing machines: before they do their work, they assemble themselves! This self-assembly is called "folding."
One of our project goals is to simulate protein folding in order to understand how proteins fold so quickly and reliably, and to learn how to make synthetic polymers with these properties.

PROTEIN FOLDING AND DISEASE: BSE (Mad Cow), Altzheimer's, ...
What happens if proteins don't fold correctly? Diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, cystic fibrosis, BSE (Mad Cow disease), an inherited form of emphysema, and even many cancers are believed to result from protein misfolding.
When proteins misfold, they can clump together ("aggregate"). These clumps can often gather in the brain, where they are believed to cause the symptoms of Mad Cow or Alzheimer's disease.
PROTEIN FOLDING AND NANOTECHNOLOGY: Building man made machines on the nanoscale
In addition to biomedical applications, learning about how proteins fold will also teach us how to design our own protein-sized "nanomachines" to do similar tasks. Of course, before nanomachines can carry out any activity, they must also be assembled.
WHY IS PROTEIN FOLDING SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND?
It's amazing that not only do proteins self-assemble -- fold -- but they do so amazingly quickly: some as fast as a millionth of a second. While this time is very fast on a person's timescale, it's remarkably long for computers to simulate.
In fact, it takes about a day to simulate a nanosecond (1/1,000,000,000 of a second). Unfortunately, proteins fold on the tens of microsecond timescale (10,000 nanoseconds). Thus, it would take 10,000 CPU days to simulate folding -- i.e. it would take 30 CPU years! That's a long time to wait for one result!
A SOLUTION: DISTRIBUTED DYNAMICS
To solve the protein folding problem, we need to break the microsecond barrier. Our group has developed multiple new ways to simulate protein folding which can break the microsecond barrier by dividing the work between multiple processors in a new way -- with a near linear speed up in the number of processors. Thus, with power of Folding@Home (over 100,000 processors), we have successfully smashed the microsecond barrier, simulating milliseconds of folding time and helped to unlock the mystery of how proteins fold.
WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR AND WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Folding@Home has been a success. We have folded several small, fast folding proteins, with experimental validation of our method. We are now working to further develop our method, and to apply it to more complex and interesting proteins and protein folding and misfolding questions.
Since then, Folding@Home has studied more complex proteins, reporting on the folding of many proteins on the microsecond timescale, including BBA5, the villin headpiece, Trp Cage, among others.
More recently, we have been putting a great deal of effort into studying proteins relevant for diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Hunntington's, and Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

The Senate is on the verge of passing a bill that has been written in secret and has not even be read which provides total amnesty for 12 million (if you are to believe official figures) illegal aliens already inside the US, allows them to bring in their entire families from outside and ultimately paves the way for foreign occupation of the United States.
The immigration reform bill, which has been hailed by President Bush, has been denounced by many commentators and Senators as total amnesty by stealth.
Listen To Alex Jones' impassioned rant on this subject from today's show.
It has been drafted in total secrecy with the help of liberal think tanks and Latino national interest groups such as the National Council of La Raza and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which as the Washington Post reported now have virtual veto power in the immigration debate. Some of these groups are notoriously racist and have openly called for revolution .
On Wednesday conservative web site redstate reported:
The issue boils down to whether Senate Republicans leaders, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Conference Chairman Jon Kyl (Ariz.), will give Democrats a free pass to bring up the bill without ever giving Republicans a chance to review it. Sen. Teddy Kennedy (D.-Mass.) is leading negotiations for the Democrats, and has so far negotiated a favorable deal for Democrats, according to sources close to the negotiations.
A motion to proceed is a procedural step to start debating the legislation. It would allow leadership to present a bill to the Senate with no time for senators to actually read the legislation.
“There is concern among conservatives on the Hill that leadership will cave in on the motion to proceed on a bill that they've never seen,” one senior Senate aide told me. “Conservatives don't want to do this because they don't trust that the negotiators will produce a bill that will be satisfactory to conservatives.”
The legislation would grant undocumented workers who came into the country before January a permit to remain. They could then apply for a new, four-year "Z Visa," renewable indefinitely, as long as they pay a $5,000 fine, a $1,500 processing fee, show a clean work record and pass a criminal background check (even though they entered the US illegally, so are criminals).
The "Z visas" also pave the way for "chain immigration" allowing an immigrant to bring in relatives. Previously chain immigration was limited to immediate family members. New legislation will open it to include possibly more than 11 family members of any relation. Once those family members become resident they too will be able to bring in their extended families and so on.
Advocates of the bill are claiming that this can only happen in tandem with a total crackdown on border control. In other words before those immigrant-rights measures could go into effect, the government must deploy 18,000 new Border Patrol agents and four unmanned aerial vehicles; build 200 miles of vehicle barriers, 370 miles of fencing, and 70 ground-based radar and camera towers; provide funds for the detention of 27,500 illegal immigrants a day; and complete new identification tools to help employers screen out illegal job applicants.
Given that the government has not been able to build a simple fence in six years how is it going to be able to achieve all this within eighteen months? We have also seen in the past how "immigration control efforts" such as Real ID , boosting troops on the borders and building fences are simply smoke and mirrors behind which lie methods of control, outrageous elitist profiteering and the destruction of freedom.
This is not the first time the Bush administration has moved to aid the benefits of Mexicans illegally working working in the US. In 2005, the New York Times reported that the Bush administration had initiated a program to start paying hospitals and doctors for providing emergency care to illegal immigrants. Members of Congress from border states had sought the money, totaling $1 Billion. They said treatment of illegal immigrants imposed a huge financial burden on many hospitals, which are required to provide emergency care to patients who need it, regardless of their immigration status or ability to pay. The administration had previously abandoned a proposal that would have required many hospitals to ask patients if they were U.S. citizens or legal immigrants.
Add to this previous mainstream reports of banks and lenders opening their doors to illegal immigrants, facilitated by government agencies, such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. As reported in the Wall Street Journal , the FDIC is encouraging banks to lend and invest in undeserved markets regardless of customers' immigration status.
Given these facts why should anyone now believe that the real agenda is to create a system that is tough on illegal immigrants?
In 1986 Reagan announced an amnesty of one million illegals which ended up being between three and six million with the promise of tougher border control which never materialized. There are now officially twelve million illegals in the country, however this figure is universally thought to be flawed as it is based primarily on the national census, to which illegals are most likely not to partake in. Higher estimates put the figure at over twenty million, with three or four million a year now entering the US.
The new bill's authors "seem to think that they can dupe the American public into accepting a blanket amnesty if they just call it 'comprehensive' or 'earned legalization' or 'regularization,' " commented Rep. Tom Tancredo "The president is so desperate for a legacy and a domestic policy win that he is willing to sell out the American people and our national security."
“It is unconscionable that with an issue of this magnitude and complexity that the Senate would proceed to legislation without any text available to review by senators,” another senior Senate source said.
U.S. Senator DeMint commented "I hope we don't take a thousand page bill written in secret and try to ram it through the Senate in a few days. This is a very important issue for America and we need time to debate it." DeMint denounced the "Z visas" stating "This rewards people who broke the law with permanent legal status, and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America. I don't care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty."
Indeed it is amnesty, but it seems this time it will be much much more as well.
The AP is reporting that the Santa Fe Police Department is considering the possibility of recruiting Mexican nationals to fill vacant police jobs. Current regulations prohibit non-citizens from serving as police officers, but as a total amnesty would legalize all illegals this problem would dissolve.
Law departments are arguing that they, like the armed forces, should be allowed to recruit foreign nationals into vacant positions.
The US armed forces has also seen an influx of foreign troops, an average of 20% of ground troops in Iraq are now non citizens, this is set to rise to 50% over the next year with foreign recruitment stations facilitating the supply.
There now exists a situation in the US where foreigners are being recruited to the armed forces and soon enough to law enforcement.
Add to all this the fact that there is a huge push for a North American Union underway, which is continuing apace in relative secrecy and without Congressional oversight. We have issued several reports, the latest here , covering the fact that a wide range of US administrative law is being re-written in stealth under this program to "integrate" and "harmonize" with administrative law in Mexico and Canada, just as has become commonplace within the EU.
As this issue has raged on and tensions have continued to mount we have also seen that 'Immigration Protests' are being used as a cover for a racist ethnic cleansing movement. The fallout of increased tensions could lead to rioting and may provide the perfect pretext to begin round-up and internment procedures that have been previously outlined in the REX 84 program and were cited in the recent Kellogg Brown and Root contract to construct detention camps which was given to them by Homeland Security.
Social, political and economic forces are pulling America apart and driving her toward a bloody conflict that may fracture and Balkanize the nation. The move to cement a legal force of underling workers that will do the dirty work for America while at the same time wiping out middle class opulence and sustainability is a direct avocation of a creation of a massive underclass of illegal, third world, uneducated and poor slaves.
This only serves to benefit one section of society, the elite.
We urge you to flood the switch boards of the Senate and Congress and vent anger at the fact that the latest immigration reforms are set to be passed without even being read. We ask you to demand to know why the legislation has been drafted in secret under the direct influence of foreign stakeholders. And we ask you to demand your Senators and Congressmen to halt this blind overhauling of American security and to restore the system of constitutional debate before it is too late.

In China they have let it get so bad its pitchforks vs automatics
As the government takes farms to build trinket making factories
They have to takeover the TV stations to get the word out
I think we should do something before it's the same fate for US
Chinese state media have angrily denounced what they say was the hijacking late last month of nationwide satellite television signals by the Falun Gong spiritual movement.
China says messages from Falun Gong, which was outlawed by Chinese authorities in 1999 after a mass protest in Tiananmen Square, cut into broadcasts of the World Cup final for viewers in remote and rural areas.
One front page newspaper headline ran: "Falun Gong is the common enemy of humanity".
He is sleeping in his office so he can have instant access if anything unexpected happens
TV engineer, on Minister Xu Guangchun of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television
It is a measure of official fury at what appears to be one of the more audacious acts by the outlawed spiritual movement to get its message across.
Chinese state media say that what they call the hijacking of television signals to broadcast Falun Gong messages happened late last month during the World Cup finals and events to mark the fifth anniversary of Hong Kong's handover to China.
But it is only this week that the story has been reported in major state media, a measure perhaps of the extreme sensitivity of the issue.
Chinese alarm
Official reports say that TV signals broadcast by Falun Gong illegally cut into transmissions of China's central and provincial networks via the Sino Satellite, or Sinosat.
Li Hongzhi, photographed in 1999
Founder Li Hongzhi now lives in the US
The action is said to have affected viewers in remote and rural areas.
The Falun Gong movement has not claimed responsibility for hijacking the broadcasts.
Representatives in New York, where the movement's founder Li Hongzhi is based, say a series of incidents earlier this year, involving hacking into local Chinese TV stations was the work of grassroots followers.
But satellite experts say that to hijack a national satellite television beam requires access to either an earth station, from which signals are beamed up to satellites, or at the very least a very big satellite dish.
This latest incident has clearly caused considerable alarm among Chinese authorities, with one report saying the head of the state radio and television administration is sleeping in his office to prevent such an episode from happening again.

Toddlers to get lessons in talking as TV kills conversation
By LAURA CLARK - More by this author » Last updated at 21:16pm on 10th May 2007
Toddlers will be taught how to talk in an attempt to arrest the shocking decline in children's communication skills.
A recent study revealed that half of them are unable to string a sentence together at age five.
As a result, ministers are encouraging the use of the special "early talk" programme, targeted at infants from their earliest months to age five, which uses signing, gestures and symbols to expand vocabulary.
Research from the children's charity I CAN revealed last year that half of youngsters - rising to 84 per cent in some areas - begin formal education with "impoverished speech and language".
They are unable to utter a whole sentence and can understand only simple instructions.
Further research by the charity found that parents spend more time watching TV and cleaning around the house than talking to their children.
The charity has developed the teaching kits for staff in nurseries to help counter the problem and encourage babies and toddlers to "talk" to each other and adults.
It will also be used to target children with learning difficulties.
Children's Minister Beverley Hughes endorsed the scheme and said it will be used in 200 Government-backed Sure Start children's centres, benefiting 160,000 toddlers.
The charity is already working with local councils to extend the scheme to voluntary and private nurseries, potentially capturing tens of thousands more infants.
As well providing training and classroom materials for staff, the programme includes an advice service for parents, who will be given tips on how to interact with their children.
The charity's spokesman, Clare Geldard, said: "We know from nursery teachers and reception class teachers that children are coming in with fewer speech and language skills, for example they only use short sentences and their vocabulary is not as enriched.
"The environment and society in which we live at the moment is less supportive of developing children's language."
She said she knew of one speech therapist who found that none of the three-year-olds she was assessing could say more than one word at a time.
Mrs Geldard went on: "The parents think, 'Oh it will be all right when they get to school - the school will bring them up to the right level'. But if a child is not talking before they go to school, they won't be able to springboard into academic learning.
"Half of them will become frustrated at not being able to understand instructions and express themselves. They will be labelled naughty children.
"The remainder, the ones I really worry about, will withdraw and nobody will notice they have a problem until much later."
THE AGES AT WHICH SPEAKING MILESTONES SHOULD BE REACHED
0-1 years Recognise parents' voices, make basic sounds and copy facial expressions
1-2 years Understand basic words and use hand gestures
2-3 years Put basic sentences together
3-4 years Ask lots of questions and socialise with friends
4-5 years Speak confidently in conversations with occasional mistakes
TIPS FOR PARENTS...
• Take turns to talk. Speak to your child and give them plenty of time to respond.
• Encourage talking - ask open-ended questions, not simple yes or no questions.
• Try talking about what's going on in their world.
• Speak in sentences one word longer than theirs to help build up their vocabulary.
• Read to your child to develop good listening skills

Could Ron Paul Win in New Hampshire? (http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=42148)

Could Presidential candidate and Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=USSAEQl0XMM)win the Republican national primary in New Hampshire? If he did so, the momentum would be significant – and the press coverage massive - as New Hampshire may be the first state to hold a formal election, even beating out the Iowa caucus.

9/11: an 'inside job?'
Controlled demolition, claims California architect
ROSS ROMANIUK
Winnipeg Sun
Monday May 28, 2007
Conspiracy buffs are in for a big treat.
California architect Richard Gage will be in Winnipeg this week to offer his explanation of why the World Trade Centre towers collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001.
Gage has become a leading figure of the so-called 9/11 truth movement, an informal campaign from people all over the world who challenge official accounts of what happened that day.
He argues that a deliberate, controlled demolition using explosive devices is what really destroyed the twin towers that day, along with another skyscraper known as WTC 7 or Building 7. Speaking to Sun Media from his Bay Area home this weekend, Gage said few people are even aware of the third building.
