MM, are you back from your trip?
Not yet, still in KC.
You know what? I think I'm gonna say that I am gonna post 500 posts in this thread by Wednesday of next week, the 5th, think I can do it?
mathmission
03-30-2006, 12:10 AM
I can't really do it while here in KC, but I might as well get a few in here. I'm just visiting while on break. Helping to start packing. My father has decided to sell the house that I grew up in, so we're going through all the crap we've kept over the years. One of those sort of moves...
By the way, with that 500 posts, I nee to get to 4647 posts by Wednesday
mathmission
03-30-2006, 12:12 AM
Maybe if we can get some small count post quotas in here, like maybe 10 a day, or 5 a day or something like that, we can boost the rate of growth here. Plus if there were moer people that registered and posted here, that would make things go a lot faster as well. Or better yet, get all the non-registered peeps to post as well, and we'd have no probelm getting this thing up there.

I hope all is going well with you Cass. Can't say that a lot is going on here. Things have been quite slow in the writing department. Haven't really had the inspiration to actually write anything of substance yet. I've also had to scrap my car, and start driving a new one. Well, new is not quite the right word. I'm now driving what I called "The Mighty One." A 1990 Buick LeSabre, Limited Edition

OH NO I don't like needles either they had to sedate me for that. Well thats done and it takes 2 days for shot to start working and the doc never got my MRI's back yet. So i am still waiting to find out everything else, so it's still light duty for me no lifting just office work for now.

I hope it all goes well for ya tiremonkey. I personally don't mind needles at all. However! A needle into my spine...they'll have to knock me out for that one. I don't like the idea of things being stuck into my spine, or near it for that matter.

Left disc extrusion at L4-5 impinging the left L5 root, and also left far lateral disc extrusion at L3-4 impinging the foraminal aspect of the left L3 nerve root/ganglion. There is mild central stenosis at L3-4.

Just been sitting here, trying to stay awake. It was a long night last night. A friend of mine had a little too much to drink, and she failed to tell me that she was on anti-depressants, so that sort of screwed things up. Only got a few hours of sleep.
mathmission
04-14-2006, 10:17 AM
She was ok after a while, but she entered into a shaking fit, and got really scared because she didn't know what was going on. She had heard that she wasn't supposed to drink while on the medicine, but she was never told what the effects were going to be, so she got a bit scared, had to tell her that things were going to be ok, and that she hadn't had enough to cause any real danger.

Did you know that right now, Texas is the state with the most employees working without any form of health insurance? I heard that on NPR today. I guess that would have been a better statement for the random facts thread, but I thought that I would throw it here so that I could take up some more space. You know, just trying to get us to that one million spot. Either that, or somehow catch up to Carrie, which I know is going to take forever. Then again, if this job keeps up the way it has, I might be able to just sit here on UTC all day and just sort of post over and over and over and over again.

what I need now is a laptop. Know where I can get a cheap laptop that has decent processing speed, not too much memory, and wireless net? I would just like something that I can take with me to do some writing on, and since I've been using the laptop here at work, I've found that I really like them.

Hi MM

I use a Tungsten E myself ATM, but need to upgrade soon.
well, I want to be able to type on a keyboard, and I know that they have the fold out ones, but I don't really think that I need a PDA, thought it would be nice to have something like that to keep all the numbers and whatnot in there. The other thing is that I have a lot of CDs, DVDs and whatnot, that I've burned that I would need to use. I store a lot of data on DVDs now-a-days and I would need to make sure that I could access that. That would be another reason why a laptop would work better.
mathmission
04-14-2006, 11:45 AM
Thanks for the suggestion though, you've got me interested enough to look at prices. Its harder to find PDAs that are used though, or at least somewhere that sells them used that isn't a bit shady.
riscy
04-14-2006, 11:46 AM
Ok - laptop it is, just a suggestion for you though. Dunno where to get a cheapie though.
mathmission
04-14-2006, 11:52 AM
yeah, I've been looking around, and it looks like $650 is the best that I can find. For something new that is. I bet I could find something decent used, maybe on Ebay like Carrie said. I've just never bought from them before, so I have problems trusting stuff like that, even though I know that they're pretty much safe.
riscy
04-14-2006, 12:00 PM
I have never done eBay either - have reservations like you. Some friends swear by it though and have never had any probs, and they are not quite techy savvy , so it must be ok.
mathmission
04-14-2006, 01:38 PM
well, another reason that Im cautious about ebay was that my mother had her CC number stolen, and some guy in the middle east bought a bunch of stuff with it. So it was something that sort of hit home, with $5000 worth of stuff. Of course, she made a claim that it wasn't her, and that the number was stolen. They believed her, so she didn't have to pay any of it, but still, it happens.
ThumperZ1
04-15-2006, 10:06 AM

You know what's a strange thing to say...the phrase..."I'm gonna tell you the truth."
Someone came into the office here, and was telling a joke or something, an anecdote (sp) and said, "And Im telling you the trust, she went flat down to the ground.."
You don't really need the context of the story, but really, why would you re-establish that this is not fiction through the story. Where you lying to me most of the time, and have only now come to telling me accurate events?
Just a thought.

Yea, i'm doing a series of 3 steroid shots in lower back. I go back May 1st. for my 2nd. shot. The first shot took alot of the numbness away but left me with pins and needles sensations, to me that's worse then the numbness. My back feels good it's just the leg/foot that's really bothering me the most. Basically it's the worst way to have a pinched nerve, one is bad enough but two is just way worse and i believe them.

Yeah, Im not quite sure what happened, but every now and then there are problems with the server, and when that happens, sometimes we have to revert a few days back, and thus we lose some posts. I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

So, I've decided what is keeping me from being a great writer. I need someone to solve this problem for me. The problem is that I have many different projects that I want to work on. And most unfortunately for me, they are all different types of writing. I want to write a novel, I have a few short story ideas, I have a mini-series screenplay that I want to write. See, all of these ideas are great ones, at least, I think so. And the problem is that I can't just work on one at a time, and working on more than one keeps me from ever finishing something. It's hard to discriminate to get something done. And the problem is, whenever I see something, or read something that reminds me of a project I'm working on, it makes me feel worse about not finishing.

http://truthradio.com/Audio/FederalReserve.mp3
The Federal Reserve Isn't Federal at All!
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
It isn't even close to being constitutional
It's fraudulently shoved this country, up against the wall
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
Would you like to know the reasons why your taxes are so high?
Would you like to know what fuels inflation every time you buy?
Would you like to know who takes the biggest slice out of your pie?
It's the federal reserve and I'm here to tell you why
It's not that complicated to explain in laymen terms
When somethin' really rotten it is sure to crawl with worms
And that somethin' really rotten happen in this nations past
It's been feeding on our prosperity until now we're sinking fast
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
It isn't even close to being constitutional
It's fraudulently shoved this country up against the wall
Woe , the federal reserve isn't federal at all
How would you like to print up money
On your very own private press?
And loan it out to all your friends at staggering high interest?
Bet it wouldn't take too long
Until you owned the whole neighborhood
Well, that's what the feds been doin'
since our Congress said they could
Now our Congress shirked their duty back in December 1913
That's when the value of our money changed from gold to inky green
And when they shrugged the constitution off
they dammed this nations fate it was a blatant violation
Of article one and section eight
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
It isn't even close to bein' constitutional
It's fraudulently shoved this country up against the wall
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
You got The FBI, The FCC, The Federal Trade Commission Agency
And they all have one thing in common, that is their federal
But here's one thing if you haven't guessed
There ain't anything federal about the Federal Express
And the only thing federal about the reserve is that it's Criminal!
Now if I was to tell you that we're under Martial Law
And there ain't no sense in waitin' for the final ax to fall
And that the money that we're spendin's really military script
Would you say that I've gone crazy, would you think that I've been hipped?
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
It isn't even close to being constitutional
It's fraudulently shoved this country up against the wall
Woe, the federal reserve isn't federal at all
No the federal reserve isn't federal, it's just criminal, at all...
Let's just dump it!!

Math, I posted this after your post about the Movie Flight 93 (incase you missed it cause it is gone)
Return to the Evidence section
10:06 A.M., Shanksville, Pennsylvania
Flight 93 was en route from New Jersey to California, with 45 passengers, when it went off-course at 8:56 over north-eastern Ohio.
According to the official story, Flight 93 was headed for the White House when it was overpowered by a group of passengers and crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Out of all the events of 9-11, the one that has caused the most confusion is Flight 93.
It was shot down...
...it wasn’t shot down.
However, evidence suggests that perhaps Flight 93 was nowhere near Shanksville.
FOX News reports from the crash site...
Click for a clip from
Loose Change
2nd edition
Wally Miller, a Somerset County coroner, told the Houston Chronicle:
"It looked like somebody just dropped a bunch of metal out of the sky."
In the Washington Post...“It looked like someone took a scrap truck, dug a 10-foot ditch and dumped trash into it."
And as for the passengers..."I stopped being coroner after about 20 minutes, because there were no bodies there.”
In the Pittsburg Review..."I have not, to this day, seen a single drop of blood. Not a drop.”
It would seem that, on one day, for the second time in history, an entire plane, along with its passengers, disappeared upon impact.
So if Flight 93 didn’t go down in Shanksville, then where?
You ready for this? Cleveland.
At 11:43 on September 11th, WCPO, a local TV station in Cincinatti, Ohio, reported that two planes landed at Cleveland Hopkins Airport due to a bomb threat.
United Airlines identified one of the planes as Flight 93.
The Cleveland Airport Mystery was uncovered thanks to Woodybox. Click to read the entire article.
Click to watch the entire
Cleveland Mystery
We may never know what really happened to Flight 93.
But we do know what didn’t happen

Here is that script that you were talking about. I'd love to get some of my films up on the net so people can watch, but I don't know how to do that. All I have is the Mpeg file, and generally, they're quite large. I'm going to buy some webspace here in a bit, since my film site (www.mathmissionfilms.com) is actually hosted on someone else's site. Anyway, any help to get the actual video on the site would be awesome. I guess I would need to compress the video as well.
