error while trying to update the software

on all of my programs i have an error while trying to update the software. it keeps telling me im not online but i am . how do i fix this ?

are you behind a firewall or proxy? if so, try connecting without using those and see if it works.

zone alarm ... i shut it down and gave it a go but nadda ... i also took out the nic card and changed the pci slot it was in but still nothing ... hmmm

does your modem show in ur device manager?

Yup , its shows the nic card installed in the device maneger ..
