I am extremely unorganized with my files, dupes everywhere and spread out over multiple computers with folder names like "move to Dell" so they probably are still somewhere else, and the artist folders are empty, just a ton of songs--you get the picture.

I made a promise once that I would never recommend a prog to anyone w/o trying it on my own computer first for at least 30 days.

Now, I use Norton Sys Pro and this computer is my tester. The Dell. When I installed Copernic Desktop searcher, I thought it would be great for me. Norton says that I was running at about 95% efficiency on that monitoring thing.

Within about a week, and this was before I started making restore points on installs, my efficiency dropped to 52%. No virus, trojan, adware, whatever. I had backed up my reg so I threw that in after trying to get Copernic out. And it is harder to remove than kazaa, IMO. I have tryed every diagnostic on this machine and will now be ripping out the OS.

I am running Win XP Home on this machine. Maybe it wasn't Copernic (being advertised by M$ as the new addition to its uipcoming Windows I read,) but the other progs I tried on the other machines also--XP Pro and 98SE.
